Ive been trying to get used to all the safety systems on the ice but i dont understand what understand what to do when i see a 1000hz because it just put son the emergency brakes. I dont suppose anyone could help me please?
Press the PZB acknowledge button (Q on keyboard or B on controller) and reduce speed to 80kmh, I've recently started learning the German safety systems and I'm just now getting the hang of it its easy once you get the hang of it but put simply whenever you pass a yellow signal or signal informing you of a change in speed limit you should press the PZB acknowledge and reduce speed to 80kmh.
Look at the above video, German safety system PZB is far from intuitive and requires you to learn some conditions and numbers. But Matt did a great job in that video explaining what to do and when.
Pzb is a weird one. When I was trying to learn it, it made no sense at all and seemed like the most complicated thing in the world. But as soon as it clicked, it made perfect sense and I couldn't see what I found so difficult about it. It makes the German routes so much more immersive and fun. I had very little interest in the German routes until I learned the signalling and pzb. Now they are some of my favourite routes. The tutorial linked above is definitely an excellent place to start, but there are also plenty of helpful posts on this forum
It is yes it definitely keeps you busy it has a lot more to it than AWS, but best to switch it off while taking railfan shots. Im looking to learn the French safety systems on the LGV now
To learn about security systems in France, these videos are excellent: https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/guides/the-french-signaling-system-by-raph
cheers thank you! That’s a very useful website, I’ll have a look at that now and get on with learning them today.
