Why doesnt the banking comm work on this loco?. along with some difficult to access buttons like the gauge light switch and generator field switch among other small problems
The difficulty in locating the buttons may be a minor irritation, but the non functioning radio fuse and banking com are major problems. If we ever get to make our own consists in the scenario planner, we would be unable to use helpers to get up the mountain.
In addition to not being able to play the services with helpers in the timetable right now (in the Dash 8) due to this issue.
Well don't dismiss it entirely. Actually this is a nicely modeled locomotive, both inside and out. The exterior is very accurate with nice weathering and the hybrid cab is finely detailed. It's actually fun to drive. It does have the radio bug as we've pointed out and some have criticized the sound (which is fine for me on PC). Also there are the "horn problems" which seem to affect all the SPG locomotives. Despite these issues, I certainly don't regret buying it.
I agree completely that it is a nice locomotive and all but it need these issues addressed and some polishing up.. especially considering the price.
The EOTD marker light being under the last coal hopper in the middle facing the wrong way is just plain ridiculous. We payed $20 for this, month's ago and it's still broken. And the fact it has the same horn (which sounds pretty bad), the same hopper car numbers, and no working EOTD pressure monitor makes me wonder, did they put ANY effort in to this? And to make things worse, I've seen NO answer on road map that this will be addressed. American DLC doesn't come around often from DTG, so please, at least give us some quality when it does.
I have had it since the release and certainly had higher expectations moving forward in terms of an update or fix.... I paid 30$ CAD
