What needs making better on them? They are pretty accurate.

I agree, I mean the horn is the only thing that could do with an improvement. but either way i love the 66.

Again the horn is accurate, its that bad in real life. Only decent ones are on the German variants that are in the UK with GBRf.

The horn in TSW sounds much closer to the later 'soft' horns than the originals fitted to the EWS/DB locos.

Considering the 66 is based off the /0 then the horn is wrong. I know the GBRF /7s have different horns. At the end of the day I love the 66 in game so im not really complaining

can't really just say 'GBRf /7s' as it spans a huge number of locos built at totally different periods for different customers, for instance 780-789, being ex-DBC 66/0, have the original horns.

it was just a wide generalization... sorry for not adding specific loco numbers

My thoughts precisely. I have Class 59s and 66s past my house daily, and at the level crossing, the Horns are defiantly the original fitted version as fitted on Armstrong Powerhouse’s Enhancement pack for the 66s. I would much prefer these horns in all fairness.

I'll actually disagree with you on this point.

It's louder in Notch 7 and gets quieter when you go to Notch 8.

Quite, notch 8 is much better for vibration than 5-7.

Feel free to disagree, however I can assure you from personal daily experience that Notch 8 is quieter than Notch 4-7 in cab.

Again internally Notch 8 is quieter in the cab than Notches 4-7. The screaming sound you refer to is the turbo kicking in externally.

It's not about winning George, I'm giving you my honest view point. I spend all day in Class 66's for a job, so advising you what I experience.

If you want, I can set a simple recording device up in the opposite cab to what I'm driving one day, and record it for you, so you get an idea?!

Class 66 bin train - almost 2000 tonnes of freight in Northern England including gradients up and down. Almost four hours of "slow TV" if you like such things
