The notes for this have arrived on the support website today. However, there's only 10 items on here compared to about 30 on the next arrival section of the roadmap.

Is this a case that they're not being released together, or does the patch notes not give the full picture?

Considering that it does not list SEHS in there, I would say that this is not a full list.

Going off what's happened in the past, they tend to release one patch a few days before a new DLC which adds support to the core game for that new DLC, or something along those lines. Then on the day of the new DLC it gets released, sometimes alongside other updates that are ready to go.

Disappointed that the promised fix to the red light situation in Scenario Planner for GWE and NTP has not materialised. Come on folks, sort the basics out first before adding extra start and end points which, given the existing problem, might not even work.

They fixed it for GWE, it's in the patch notes.

it's possible that the rest of the update is going to be released either Thursday or next week.

If some items on the roadmap got that close to release, I think there are very few chances they got cancelled.

The patch notes have never reflected everything that’s in the patches since TSW2 was released. That has included things listed on the roadmap as well as things that aren’t mentioned anywhere. There were changes to the HUD at one point that were never mentioned at all, either the roadmap or any release notes. I’ve lost all hope of ever being able to track changes through what’s posted on either the roadmap or patch notes.

Having said that, there is always the chance of another patch or more details being added to the release notes. There could also be things that have gone back for more fixing. That’s not unheard of.

Oh me too. People are still reporting problems with SPG that were reported as fixed in the November Roadmap release notes. I pretty much ignore any patch notes these days unless it's something major I can visually verify. I am grateful though for the progress being made with the Raildriver controls. That is a real step forward.

Finally "Refined HST acceleration physics modelling."

Not a MPH too soon, if you ask me.

That little bit of fixing required a 36 GB download???

    I'm especially glad for this:
    • Refined BR Class 377/4 brake physics modelling.
Hopefully, Class 377 won't feel like some underground train stock anymore.

    Yes finally!

They've said at least 1000 different times on 50 different platforms, the size of the fix does not determine the size of the download. You have to download the whole game/DLC in order to have the most up to date version.

Changing a comma on ECW will require you to download ECW in its entirety again, that's why they release a lot of small fixes togheter.

What's wrong with the HST braking? It's never been on the roadmap from memory.

Yep. First I've read about braking on the HST being wrong.

The HST braking is too aggressive, and I have done shed loads of research into this and had it confirmed by many real life drivers.
First off the Initial notch is ‘way too aggressive’ according to one driver. The HSTs were built with 9%g spec braking which should take 1m02 from 125 - 0mph in emergency braking. It doesn’t, it’s something like 53 sec - a crazy 8 seconds too fierce,

Also, an on data recorder recorded an incident of a signal SPAD and it that report the data showed the HST took 512m (559yds) to stop from 67.4 mph. Even if I run at 68mph, emergency stop it still stops 150 yards short of this. I have sent various data and analysis to them but they’ve failed to acknowledge it.

Well this is the first time I've seen someone say the brakes are too aggressive on the HST. Personally had some of my colleagues who drive HST's say they are a little on the weak side or are just about right for bedded in brakes.

End of the day it's a game and they work as intended with stopping the train. If it feels inaccurate to you and you've driven a HST then your feeling would carry more weight, however every driver you've spoken to probably also said every set braked differently. No HST set behaves the same.

Not a HST, but when I was on work experience at Tyne & Wear Metro, someone told a story where one of the trainees asked why drivers don't go full speed into a station and brake full service at the last possible moment. He said that sometimes it'll work, but not always, and he put the train in full service as he entered the platform at like 70km/h and it slowed down very slowly, and basically halfway along the platform had to apply the track brake. Sometimes full service stops in time, sometimes it doesn't. I'd imagine it's a similar situation with any train.

why would a driver of 30 years say it’s ‘way too aggressive’ then? Not just a little - but way too aggressive? That would imply that it’s way out.

So one driver has told you it's aggressive.

I'm just saying if he's driven HST's he would have also said every set he drove would have behaved drastically different under braking and accelerating.

The reason for this is that all the brake discs and pads would be at different wear levels, and depending on their level of wear would apply to wheels in different timings.

You are getting brakes at their best in TSW 2, as I'm imaging the team have used a HST that was undergoing maintainence at Old Oak for their initial measurements.

Yes I guess so. Ok I’ll shut up about it and just enjoy the game. I know each set varies and I will have to just tell my OCD that! Haha

    Thanks for the info.

I believe there are some bits of information missing from the update notes that had been listed on the Roadmap. But I can't confirm that just yet.

I think there has been a case of miscommunication on our end when sharing what's been updated.

Well, the Class 43's acceleration has certainly been bumped. Just tested it westbound, and hit
    100 mph at West Ealing
    110 at Southall
120 at the West Drayton cement works
    Vmax at Iver.

Definitely more sprightly than before, where you would barely top out before it was time to start braking for Slough.
