so im streaming, not sure if this was a bug or something lol and right at the last stop of the stream as I came into the station I plowed right through this rando crossing the tracks at like 30 mph or so, once the link to the stream pops up ill grab it
On the roadmap (in planning). Passengers crossing like that on Rapid Transit (TSW2) will be removed in the future. Don't think it'll be fixed in TSW2020. [Fix] Stop NPCs crossing the tracks at level crossings on Rapid Transit
TrainSim-Matt did the same last week. The people along that route are clearly suicidal and just walk in front of speeding trains like they aren’t even there. This is being fixed though. Thankfully it’s not purposely simulated like in real life.
That is cool. I know it's not meant to happen but like a random event I hope they implement this at some point but more seriously.
Why would you want it to happen? This is the worst fear for a train driver as there is absolutely nothing they can do, but apply the emergency brake and hope for the best.
We aim to keep our games safe for people of all ages to enjoy, so it is unlikely we would include this type of content intentionally.
Not that particular thing but something similar dynamic event would be nice to have. Think along the lines of ETS2 (trackwork, closed stuff, people on the tracks etc). By the way, people do block train tracks on purpose time to time to get their messages across.
Hmmm, as I said. I hope they implement random events at some point. It doesn't matter which ones really. Thou driving over people wouldn't be my first choice anyway. More along the lines of track works, platform closures etc
its exactly what i did, ik its just a simulation but still, i didnt wanna hit a rando the only person whod want to hit someone in a train sim is the same sadistic 5 year old individually removing each of a daddy long legs legs until it is just a body lol
There was someone levitating on LIRR yesterday at Jamaica. They got off the train and then suddenly they are almost standing on another passengers shoulders! It does ruin the sense of realism somewhat.
I hope they do update passengers at some stage. There is so little variety and they don't match the weather much of the time, although I imagine that would be hard to implement. Be good to have passengers which suit the route they are on better, but again I guess that means creating many different models.
On roadmap and streams it has been mentioned that passenger appearance and behavior will be updated. Thanks! Glad you are listening to us on passengers looking like realistic and diverse human beings, with better wardrobe choices and not walking into fences, flying straight up to the ceiling of the station, or the carnage of Dessau Sud!
