    Hi all,

I pre-purchased this add-on and was wondering what time it will be available in the UK? As on steam we still only have ‘coming soon’.

    Thanks in advance.

    Reece.

It should release when the pre-order special promotion ends, which is at 6pm this evening UK time (UTC). Might come a little before that as it has before.

On steam there should be a countdown counter, in the Netherlands it releases in about 5 hours and 20 minutes.

Thanks all! - going to throw (on topic question - I guess) but am I right in saying that the Raildriver will work on this route but techincally is not support on the Beta Raildriver build of TSW2?

Watching the Preview and I'm sure Matt stated on the stream that the Raildriver will work with it but not 'officially' with the release...

The SimTrain Tube yes, mine has finally decided to update :)

Regarding raildriver, I think Matt said that the support was there but when he tried it the throttle wasn’t working. So I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I feel the need to make the obvious jokes that having to wait until 6 this evening "doesn't seem very high speed to me" and that when it is released our download speeds may not be that high-speed initially either

Because if you are using a Steam account they do not open until 8am PST as they are in Seattle USA. I am just north of the border in Canada, it usually starts downloading for me around 8-8:30am.

This is explained multiple times during the streams. DTG cannot set the time by itself, but it depends on Microsoft, Sony and Steam. All three have their own policy. Not much we can do about it except being patient. We should be happy tat at least it is possible to release at the same date.

For Steam, this is not true. A developer is in control of when you want to release a software. The only thing the developer has to do is to push the "Release"-Button to unlock it. So in theory DTG could release the DLC at midnight at the same time when consoles get their release BUT: For consoles the release is automatic, for Steam you need a guy present to push the button. And I doubt that the guy is at the office on midnight at DTG.

I don't know where you got this information. This is the explanation DTG gave some time ago. In theory a lot could happen, but this is how it is. Just relax, there is so much more to do and enjoy.

I agree I remember Matt saying a few times in stream that it has nothing to do with pushing a button. Nothing can happen until Steam opens in the morning, and it also depends on when DTG told Steam to allow the download to begin.

So far nothing has happened yet but hopefully it will not be much longer before it starts downloading.

Developers can set whatever release time they like on steam. I frequently see releases in the morning UK time.

DTG either plan it for 18:00 so that Steam are around if there's issues, or so that they can go home with a warm fuzzy feeling.
