Despite playing around with the ini settings as has been suggested, I cannot get out of the almost pitch black appearance when running at night. This applies to all the routes but is particularly bad on NTP where, other than the occasional signal or station you are literally looking at a black screen - almost might as well be playing Simudrive! We really need an option to brighten up the night time a little - it's rarely that dark out there, usually light from the moon, stars or ambient light from population centres etc. In fact on NTP there isn't even light in the cities, it's as if there has been a massive power cut, none of the buildings are lit up and only the occasional street light. Even in the 70's, a city like Manchester or Leeds would literally glow in the dark with the amount of light, not to mention illuminate the sky visible from miles away! Would be obliged if the devs could take a look at this, not just retrospectively for routes like NTP which need some night textures and light sourcing but the overall general appearance too.
