I'm enjoying the new route, but I noticed that the HUD affects framerate noticeably on 395, especially near St. Pancras and in the high speed section. DTG will never fix this, so I'm planning to learn how to play without HUD. Is it possible or frustrating? Your opinion?

Easy to play without the hud once you get some good route knowledge. If you played it during ts classic then pretty much everything is in the same place apart from a few stopping points.

The HUD affects frame rate by a fair amount on all routes in my experience. On HMA, a frame rate of 22 boosts up to 30 with the HUD off.

The biggest challenge of driving without the HUD on a console is the clarity of the speedometer. Particularly when sat on a sofa a reasonable distance from the screen, it's often hard to see clearly enough. Not an issue in the 395 of course, but it's more of a challenge on the 375 unless you're zoomed in.

That's definitely a whole new game without the HUD. Paying more attention to signals, speed limit signs, etc. I'm loving it, and this route is becoming one of my favs. Just one big problem: without a HUD I really don't know when it's time to close the doors... Any suggestion?

When you open the doors on SEHS they have to stay open for a minute so keep an eye on the clock in the cab of the 395 and 375 and make a note of when you open them, so you can close them one minute later. So if you open the doors at 14:20:20 for example then you can close them at 14:21:20 and there is no need to bring up the hud. That's what I've been doing anyway.

Totally possible, I put it back on occasionally just to see how far I've got till stations.
