This looks mighty fine. Who's going to produce one of these for TS?

Great videos on that channel. Since we can't travel or so anything where I am, I love watching videos like these when I just want to relax and enjoy a virtual trip.

BTW, what is the most modern UK locomotive DLC available for TS?

I think superalbs or somebody does a freeware 800/802 GWR reskin for the 801 that came with ECML-S. You can drive electric or diesel but not bi-mode.

I would think the Class 68 is the newest loco on UK rails that you can run in TS2021.
The Class 801 might be the newest unit on UK Rails

Ah, thanks! After posting this I later spotted an 801 in my inventory too.

The face of the thing reminds me of a sort of wasp, maybe the segmentalisation...

OK I'm confused - doesn't take much I know.. According to Steam, I have London-Peterborough ECML in my library. Hoever there does not appear to be any 801 present, nor is the scenario "801 at 08:01" there either...
This route was installed because it is one of 5 which come with Great British Railway Journeys. Were some parts cut down?? Any thoughts please? Of course Steam still has the route itself available for £14.99.... :(

EDIT: GOT THE BARSTEWARD!! Because GBRJ is a standalone install I had a look in that folder. Lo and behold, in the DTG assets folder is a Class 801 and I copied the appropriate Route folder into my TS too. I found this out thanks to some of the review comments for the ECML route DLC. :D

Was thinking, that’s what got me into TS. In the countdown to Christmas, was looking on YouTube and thought, I wonder is there’s a cab ride been uploaded (!).

Then I wanted to brush up on my signalling, and this video from PTGRail was suggested:

I started watching it, and thought, crikey, this TS looks really good! Next thing I know, I’m on Steam, taking advantage of the Winter sale.

    I'm unsure about Simvue

I looked at a repaint for the Class 150/1 in to FNW.
There is no information and it is an exe file so you have not idea what it does.

I certainly understand the trepidation. I'm not going to vouch for SimVue beyond saying I have a few of their reskins and they work fine and my anti-virus and Malwarebytes say my machine is still clean. I'm pretty sure SimVue is just one dude, and they used to go by the name Blue Rail Studios and before that UKMODS. I also know there is at least one scenario pack on ATS that requires a skin from Simvue.

As always, it's a personal call on whether to trust an .exe

I installed the Avanti livery for the 800 - yes, when you unzip the file it's just an executable. What it executed, however was a perfect install meaning that I could Quick Drive an Avanti West Coast plastic Hitachi

I understand it has not caused any problems but I like to know what is installing.

Thing is, with exe files from SimVue, UKTS, AP and all sorts, no one can be sure what it does!
