Hello everyone, I just wanted to suggest that the 3rd party developers for TSW2 content have their own Sub-forum within the DTG forums. It’s hard for the community to find information leading up to the release of a 3rd part project with a lot of behind the scenes or feedback only being found on their own respective website and forums. Giving 3rd party the ability to post information in the official DTG forums would be a huge benefit to all! Thank you for your time!
I think that would be a good idea it would definitely make things easier to find on the forums when it comes to the 3rd party dev's content.
But if the third parties had their own section here in these forums then all of us can see the updates and progress. It would be much easier than having to go back and forth between multiple websites.
Skyhook Games is the worst Developer, since August they Working on DB 187 without showing any Photos or Updates
Well now, we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, maybe the DB 189 is planned for release at a later time. I do know they have their first upcoming content for TSW2 which is the USA freight route Cane Creek. I tried finding the Skyhook forums but to no avail, definitely interested in finding out some information though!
That doesn't mean they are the worst. They are working on their own IP At the moment, so they are busy. Also, you should be happy that they aren't trying to rush it out with tons of bugs.
i think to say something like that is quite extreme to say they are the worst developer. maybe it's because they want to make sure everything is right before showing anything there are many reasons to why they haven't shown anything but to say that they are the worst is just absurd.
I agree with the others Skyhook are not the worst, they obviously are putting time and effort into their product to make it stand out.
But TSG Show every step for there Products and ask the Community what they want or for Feedback. Skyhook work almost 6 Months for a Single Loco the DB 187 and Nothing happened.
And? What's the issue with them taking their time and making sure everything is good? DTG doesn't show us stuff until it's like 2-3 weeks from release, are they the worst company?
Third party developers will all have different ways of working and engaging with players. You can’t really base who is the best or worst on that, and doing so would be an excellent way of discouraging any of them to post on this forum. Having a dedicated forum for third parties would only work if they were going to post anything. At the moment there has been very little from any of the third party developers. Rivet disappeared soon after the release of IoW despite many threads on the route. The full extent of the third party engagement at the moment would possibly be a few threads from TSG on their far off projects and silence from elsewhere. Community posts about the content would still be spread around the forums as not everyone knows or cares who made a particular DLC. If there was a dedicated space (like DTG have, with their announcements and Dovetail Live article discussions), it might help the third parties have a place to post, even if it is just links to their own forums and articles for promotion. How much they would actually engage in conversations here would be interesting to see, but they already have the opportunity to do that now, and not much is evident.
Taking their time is a good thing as long as the product is solid. Maybe not the worst but if I were compiling a list, they would most likely be on it.
TSG just recently released work in progress pictures for three German locomotives. A 3rd party sub forum would be exactly what we need so everyone can see them!
