I think I've taken by best photo yet. BNSF #8238 leading a Westbound train near Woodford, CA, part of the Tehachapi Loop can be seen in the background. I've tried to go Wednesday to try and get some shots with snow on the ground, but changes in work schedules changed those plans.
I recognise those silos at Tehachapi from the webcam. Great shot !!! Any idea what is in those silos ?

I came across this online, no idea where it is/was though. This (non rail, sorry) takes the biscuit though:
For anyone who likes videos of 37s with clear sound, there are ruddy millions of 'em here: https://www.youtube.com/user/phat2003uk/videos
A few random photos taken near where I work, sorry for the average quality it was only a camera phone. The class 37 with the Perseus nameplate was taking a London Underground train for a walk
It surprises me how often the Rail Operations Group liveried 37's (there are 2, Perseus and Pegasus) are on that section of track. The pair of them are always moving London Underground trains there.
Here is some big news for the US (if you haven't already seen it) NOTE: This is still pending approval from the Surface Transportation Board (STB). Canadian Pacific, Kansas City Southern Will Merge into “The First USMCA Railroad,” CPKC (UPDATED) - Railway Age
And a few more from outside where I work, not sure what the first one is though. Some sort of track maintenance maybe? The other is another time the 2 class 37's bought a London Underground to the test track.

So a few shots taken over the course of the last month or so..... Amtrak California San Joaquin train departing Madera towards Kismet Siding (Some people might know what this siding was known for back in the 2000's), with a pair of F59PHI's BNSF SD75M, with H4 paint. A Modesto & Empire Traction Co Genset, I'm surprised how well the M&ET keeps their locos, not a bit of grafitti or dirt on them (Compared to the SJVR) Some hometown railfanning, was waiting of UP 1996 to come thru, but it didn't arrive till after sundown. (I have some video from this Ill post later) And lastly, UP 6367, idling at a Foster Farms grain elevator, Traver, CA.
An interesting video by Roy Bowden in the eighties at Birmingham New St station at 25 minutes and 33 seconds there is an unusual DMU one of which I am not familiar with, any expert out there can lend a hand? Interested to see 317's there too! Edit: Mystery solved it was a 151 prototype.
A great video that. What a busy station! Is this the mystery MU? Good to see some old friends: An 81 and 85 as well as the 86s: Are there actually any passengers among this lot?! What do the letter mean on this cab?
Yes, it is a great vid, more spotters than passengers! Yes the DMU is a 151 it was supposed to be the competitor for the 150 but lost out, pity really as I like the look of it, love to know where the 317 hailed from on its journey to Brum? And no I do not know what that marking is on the Goyle?
One of Virtual Railfan's cameras in Washington State ended up catching a BNSF coal train separating, and eventually going into emergency due to the air loss from the separation

A sad day: The junction between the Blackpool to Preston line, and the Fleetwood branch line is lifted, shortly before Poulton No.3 signal box is also demolished.
Carleton Signal box, which was demolished in 2017. All the signal boxes along the Blackpool to Preston line were removed in 2017/2018 as part of the electrification and modernisation process.

As luck would have it, I had a chance to get 1996 again today, even though it wasn't leading, still happy I was able to get a photo of it this time.

Work has me temporally in the South Bay Area, took some time this afternoon to get a pic of one of Caltrain's F40's passing by College Park Station. Hopefully I have more time later this week to get some more pics.
