The 395 is far too slow in this game, seems that the 375/9 accelerates faster. Also, the sounds are all wrong, far too quiet, inside there is no acceleration noise at all, and when braking it’s some sort of made up screeching? The person you control seems to be about 9ft tall as you can see over the tops of the seats when seated, the PIS screen font is too small and the wrong font.
The 395 is slow from ebbsfleet to faversham that’s how they are built and designed by hitachi as there is a big difference between 3rd rail and high speed running
750 V imposes quite severe restrictions as the amount of power (MW) that a train can draw is limited by the low voltage. For example Desiros on the SWML were capped at 50% power compared to their AC siblings. IIRC Eurostars were running on about 15% power on 750V. This is one reason that replacing the DC system with AC overhead is mooted from time to time, but would need a full roll out of dual system trains before conversion could start. Also a unit with motor gearing for a max speed of 225km/h will be slower to accelerate then one geared for 160km/h - the 375 is optimised for high acceleration, the 395 for high speed
Another thing wrong: the AI 395 have no traction sound but a loud screeching noise like their brakes are dragging
Wow. Quite the rant. The acceleration is slow ,yes, but it is realistic. The Class 395 is built mainly for highspeeds and they run on overhead wires. So when you turn to DC(third rail) the draw of electricity is significantly less. A train built for highspeed uses a lot of power and the Class 375s are built for mainly third rail use. The is no acceleration noise in the cab because the traction motors aren't in the driving cars. They're in cars 2-5. It is a very different train to the ones already on TSW2 and if you see them in real life the sounds are actually pretty acurate. Remember, it's a sim not real life. Everything you see and hear has been recreated from scratch. Hope that solves a few of your issues
