Here's what I just finished working on. northeast US Commuter railroads. Here's the first three. 375 as a SEPTA Silverliner V: 375 as an LIRR M9(The MTA logo was NOT easy!): 395 as an NJTransit Comet V: Planning on making Metro North's M7A and M8, both Acela liveries and maybe even Boston's MBTA and Maryland's MARC.
These liveries really put my Freightliner 66 to shame Would be nice if we had italics options for the letters.
Alright I did my best to be the most accurate possible but because of layers limitation I had to remove things like missing logos on the doors so this livery is a bit meh sadly:
The 375 /377 does work well with the septa! You should make a CT Rail one! New Haven! I did it for the talent a while back.
Not the best, can be quite difficult on console, plus I’ve added my own little tweaks here and there so they’re not 100% Class 66 in Colas/DRS liveries.
Excellent job on the Colas freight. What colour code did you use for the orange? Also how long did it take you to get the yellow and orange shapes to line up?
Thanks. The colour code for the orange is: H:39, S:100, V:80, A:255 Hope this helps Honestly shaping didn’t take too long. It was my first creation using the 66 and was originally just a rough test which by fluke ended not horrendously. Looking closer it definitely doesn’t match up as well as it does in the screenshot
The first image is the initial version, the second is after I’ve touched it up a little. You can see clearly the difference. The number is a temporary placeholder.
Oooooooooo!!! You did the McGinnis livery!!!! That's dope!!! I was thinking about doing that one along with the CT Rail one too. But o was the King about doing the McGinnis on an F40CT on the Peninsula Corridor. But the CTRail may just be something I might do to a 37X. Right now I'm planning an M8 with the 395.
Excellent work on the vintage green one. What were your colour codes for the green, orange rectangle and deep red on the front? Thank you in advance (I think I have seen this one at york railway museum)
Thanks, took me a good couple of hours. Yeah I saw it there too, I believe its doing around 10 years service before it will be preserved Green: H:134 S:53 V:24 A:255 Red: H:0 S:92 V:82 A:255 Orange: H:13 S:71 V:64 A:255
Also could I trouble you for the green and yellow freightliner codes going to try and replicate your attempt also. Thank you in advance (currently working on my own BR blue)
Since it has been mentioned yesterday on a stream, it had to be done. This ONE is for you, TrainSim-Matt This was my first time doing the Shed and I gotta say... this loco is more challenging than it seems. All the curved that need to stay one colour, the railings so close to the loco are a real pain to paint. But I definitely think it turned out pretty good. Now it just needs pink containers. (will be on TSC hopefully soon)
Imagine this turned into an official livery for 377 in-game. It would appear with the same mechanic as trainbow. Let's say it would cost three pounds and profits from it would be given to NHS. A charity event in TSW.
I'm new to designing liveries but here's my first work in progress on a class 375 (yes I know it's electric but in this case I'm pretending it's a DMU). It represents West Yorkshire Metro (passenger transport executive) trains that ran around Yorkshire on many routes. I specifically created this to go onto NTP. It's a work in progress. The red needs to be darker, the roof needs covering and I need to work on the other cars. This is done on PS4.
Nice work, what were your colour codes for the red, grey and yellow? Also does it fit well on SEHS more than east coast way (I think they were seen at brighton)
First I painted the whole train red, and then I used layers to create yellow head, grey doors and- roof and white stripe and text.
Maybe increase the projection angle a bit on the roof painting to cover the red on the roof compartments., otherwise nice creation.
