If you have a Windows PC, you can install TS20XX from Steam and use your Xbox controller to play the game.
I play TS21 on a 3 yr old Acer laptop running Win 10 and it runs fine. There is the occasional stutter with tile loading but otherwise it runs well. TS won't ever come to consoles because it is an older software and consoles can't support it. I believe that's why DTG released TSW so that console players could at least experience some train simulation without needing a PC. TSW runs on newer software that is compatible with consoles.
If it has the recommended requirements as listed on the Steam store page, should work fine. However, DTG does not support laptops officially, even though many gaming laptops are better than mid level PC's.
I might go ahead and try download it then i just didnt think it would work on my laptop and i dont really have the money to fork out for a gaming PC
Buy it from Steam and if it doesn’t work properly on your PC, you can get a refund within 48 hours as long as you haven’t played it for more than 2 hours. I’ve used this to get refunds on DLC that didn’t work very well on my laptop. Details at: https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/
