the south western railway i think would suit TSW2 well this line would stretch from london waterloo to Basingstoke railway station with 21 other stations connecting the route together

i also found out that the isle of wight is operated by the south western railway but that isn't really the
    topic of this suggestion
the route from Basingstoke to waterloo would operate express and local passenger commuter services
there is two depots located a short distance away from each over, a small depot at Clapham junction and
    a traincare depot at Wimbledon.

the route is about 50 miles long and would take about an hour to complete the full line
the locos on this route would be the BR Class 444 EMU

A bit claustrophobic i know, but its a different type of EMU / Electrical Multiple Unit

and the BR Class 707 in south west trains livery

i think this route would be great in TSW2 i would love to see what you think of the class 707 and 444
and i would also love to see which trains you would personally want with this route

All the 707s are Southeastern's now though aren't they. I like the 444 and maybe they could do the new 701

I'd love this! Anything SWT/SWR is a must (though I prefer the SWT livery and the 707s would work best there given they're moving away soon :( ). Would the Hampton Court branch line be included? I think that a little detail like that would add so much to the player experience as it adds a short stopper service using the 707s, as well as having the express and commuter services.

It would be a brilliant route to see. But to really appreciate the route, they can’t just have the skeleton service that they have on most other routes. Over 100 million people using London Waterloo station a year (pre-Covid obviously) and a very busy and intense network. The screenshots below show services departing and arriving from London Waterloo between 1100-1200 today- almost 60 trains in total in both directions during the hour!

I think base traction could be Class 450/444 to Basingstoke. And then there are so many options for future route extensions and traction:
    1. Class 158/159 express sprinter + Basingstoke to Salisbury (35 miles)
    2. Class 442 (“plastic pigs”) + Woking to Portsmouth Harbour (50 miles)
    3. Class 458 juniper + Clapham Junction to Reading/Windsor (45 miles)
    4. Class 455/456 + a multitude of metro services to choose from- Hampton Court/Shepperton/Guildford/Dorking/Chessington

I know it won’t happen but there are plenty of opportunities to link GWE with the South Western Mainline
    1. Reading to Basingstoke (16 miles) (add Class 220/221 voyager)
    2. Reading to Guildford (25 miles) which the Reading to London Waterloo services also share until Wokingham

I dont think the branch would be included since the line already takes an hour to complete but if dovetail wanted to add this that would be great BTW i am not local or familiar with this route but i absolutely love theclass 707 in southwest trains livery
I have also seen how nice it is from clapham junction to waterloo staition and i hope dtg can recreate this look in the game it really capures the feel of driving a train in central london
