Given how popular and loved East Coastway is, I would love it if DTG extended the route to Ashford International, which would include the Marshlink Line between Hastings and Ashford International. This extension would allow services to run from Brighton to Hastings/Ore via Eastbourne as well as connecting services from Hastings to Ashford International. It could also introduce the BR Class 171 to the route. The extension DLC could include the existing Eastbourne Station and the section up to the curve towards Hastings that is included in East Coastway already. This would allow East Coastway and the extension DLC to work as two separate routes (if people only want to own one or the other), but were both routes are owned, they are interconnected allowing you to drive from Brighton to Eastbourne, Eastbourne to Hastings and then Hastings to Ashford International. I know that DTG isn’t yet persuaded to make route extensions for various reasons, including the risk that an extension could sell poorly. However, I think my extension suggestion would act as an independent DLC (unless both routes are owned, at which point they connect to one another). I don’t know how feasible this would be from a development point of view, but I think the possibility of extending routes should be considered. If this route was to be extended as per my suggestion, would you buy it?
It would be nice to the marshlink extension to Ashford International for ECW and it would be nice to have the class 171 turbostar for the marshlink extension.
It depends on the price , I would probably pay the same amount for an extension as I would pay for a loco
