I would like to see the 390. Although I would love to see the section between Preston and Carlisle done. Some nice scenery and also the only bit of line that actually is on the coast.
Ah, the Class 91 was one of my favourite trains in Train Simulator. In Intercity Swallow livery though. Not a huge fan of all the other liveries.
I'd love to see the BR Class 91, with Mk4 coaches, in Intercity Swallow livery, and GNER blue livery. The class 91 was the iconic train of my childhood along the line from Paddington to Bristol to the point it influenced which Hornby set ended up being my first.
The Class 91s ran on the East Coast Mainline (I.e. London Kings Cross to Leeds/York/Newcastle/Scotland). Paddington to Bristol wasn’t even electrified until a few years ago. Are you thinking of the Intercity 125/HST/Class 43?
Would love to see the 390 more than anything but think it’ll require abit more time and effort with the TSW2 before we have the means to simulate the tilt and run a route long enough to get to 125mph. Fingers are crossed though!
Honestly could have sworn they were 91s because of the distinctive square front, and black over white swallow livery with white cabs, which the 43s never wore as far as I know. Granted it's been a long time since those days standing at Reading station watching them pull in and out!
We could always see a section of the ECML between say Stevenage and King's Cross with the Moorgate branch, including: -Class 313 for stopping services. -Class 365 for semi-fast services. -Class 43 IC125 and Class 91 IC225 sets for express services. Should be quite easy given the 313, 365 and HST would be part-builds, only the Class 91 and Mk4 coaches would be a new build. Edit: Also now we're getting the Class 387 for BML, that opens up the possibility for a modern ECML South with a Class 387 and something new like the Class 801.
Yes to both of these suggestions however I don't think the 390 should be the first tilting train introduced to TSW. That privilege should go to the BR Class 370 APT-P in my personal opinion Beautiful!
Sadly it being 30 odd years ago, my memory is very fuzzy on that, and being young at the time with limited knowledge of locomotives it could well have been, it's just the 91's shape is so distinctive that that's the shape that's ingrained in my mind.
I always used to get the DVTs on the GEML confused with them when I was younger, so it's an easy mistake to make
