I think London St. Pancras to Bedford with the Class 222 and a new HST would be a good addition to tsw2 and DTG could make it so that if you own southeastern high speed, after going from somewhere on the route you could take control of a sehs service afterwards.
With the class 700 doing London bridge to Bedford and hst and 222 services from St Pancras giving the route 3 main stations Letting a thameslink train either class 319 377 But I think most would want the class 700 To go to either which I think would give the route a bit more popularity If DTG was to set the route around May when the HST last runs with EMR they could do some services with the HST 222s and introduce the class 180s along with the 360s if in service Which would give the 50-57 mile route from St Pancras and I think 60 mile route from London Bridge to bedford a good variety of stock and would bag them a lot of money
Yh I agree I did the class 801 from St Pancras to Bedford in no more then 30 minutes on TS 2021 but if DTG were to do some services having on board faults or track faults or engineering works it could make it more interesting as I said if they were to do it around may with the introduction of the 180s who are prone to injury could make it a bit more realistic and slow down journey times
I think it’s about 100 miles from St Pancras to Leicester and then quite a few more to Derby or Nottingham. Which would be a better run in my opinion as there’s more to see along that way down the mainline. Also if to get the best of both sides of the route, then could do like this. Bedford-St Pancras Bedford-Sheffield via Derby Leicester-Lincoln via Nottingham
That would be a great route in my opinion class 319 in its classic thameslink livery also the HST with the screaming valenta engine and the modern class 222 meridian in original with midland mainline livery I think now they have st Pancras in the game surly they can add the midland mainline a bit easier obviously it all comes down to licensing but what a great addition it would be
This is a highly requested route from the looks of things, as there have been several Midland Mainline threads going about in Suggestions on here. If DTG were to make the whole route from st Pancras to say... Nottingham, then I wouldn’t mind waiting longer for the route to be made.
