Yep this exists in real life it’s not common but sometimes they put the spare parts because it was damaged but with the wrong livery it’s either by mistake or they ran out of that particularly livery to match the one from the whole set: 4BD98B05-32E1-4A58-AE32-5E7803FE71C0.jpeg

So do they have to be pre existing liveries to post here (like the TPE javelin creation which looks really cool) or can they be our own train liveries from our “own company” as well?

The Regional variant of my Twiggy Transit livery. I know I have to improve on the front as the yellow is not the right shade but any other constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated 94519DC5-30BE-4228-BC53-05029D25CD2F.jpeg 972171F9-7BB1-470D-A36E-2D59E5F2496C.jpeg D480D98E-0389-4FFB-A5B1-4166B3CBCC00.jpeg

Ok guys this is far from being perfect but the editor is really limited so I missed something in my TGV collection and it was the Al Boraq which is the fastest train in Africa:

And ? That’s a childish comment, sometimes I did some liveries that some did after and I don’t care saying they’re late or something just keep your immature comment for yourself next time

come on people lets all just get along.
does anyone know if there's a plan to add DB183 and dopplestock wagons to the livery designer? I want to do this as a DB 183
    [IMG]
when the baby bullet comes out I'm gonna paint the cars in this livery as ACE uses those cars in real life.

Today's creation something again edging on prototypical..... A UP boxcar.....

I'd have preferred the UP logo to not be as bright (Although in the game it's not quite as bright) but I'm not sure there is any way to dull the logo specifically without affecting the surrounding area? 2021-02-24.jpg

How long is a temp ban anyway for a 1st offense? I'm contemplating something hilarious design wise, but it will most assuredly get me in trouble.

If you drop the opacity just a bit it'll dull down the logo, maybe like 95% of full.

I’ll give that a try.... I did have a quick try of the opacity but it just went from being there to disappearing with nothing in between?

    anyhow...

    SSSX #41 (now HTRX 2805)
Swirl System's (SSSX) #41 was the 16th GP38-2 engine to be delivered after SSSX ordered 57 of these machines for shunting work at various yards and coal mines. #41 was experimental in many ways; it was fitted with a different horn and bell as well as new cab comforts such as auxiliary sound paneling and air conditioning. it also sported advanced gauges and safety systems. Many of these became standards for locomotives later ordered by SSSX. On august 1st, 1985, as production of the GP38-2 began to wind down Nos 41-46 were rented to Union Pacific. The reasons why are not known but 17 days later Nos 41 and 43 collided in a head-on crash! #43 was the head of a 3 engine coal train, which suddenly swung on to a siding going 25 miles over the speed limit just as #41 backed off a cement siding with recently loaded cement cars. seeing the danger, the crew of 43 bailed out as the 2 workman guiding 41 frantically yelled at the crews of both engines. No one was killed in the crash, but one crewmember suffered from brain damage for the rest of his life while others recovered from mildly severe injuries. #43 was totally wrecked, the cab smashed in past the back wall caused by the 5 cement wagons. #41 was luckier, being at the opposite end of the cement wagons it merely tipped over and dented its cab and body. #43 was rebuilt as a cabbed-in GP40, but it's bad luck continued. After 5 more accidents it was repainted into the Swirl Bright Scheme, shortly after being painted it finally derailed on a bridge and plummeted 50 feet down into a river, where it promptly sunk. Both members of the crew died as they were unable to escape the sinking train. In 2003 SSSX began buying up old locomotives, rolling stock, and tracks. it kept the tracks for itself but after repairing the old locomotives they began renting them to lines small and large. In accordance to this new form of business #41 was painted into the Swirl Bright Scheme, then rented to CSX for 3 years. After being returned it resumed working on Swirl' Systems, but only for a year and a half as on April 23, 2007 it was rented to Hyperton for another 3 years. when it returned home it discovered Swirl's home fleet in a ghastly state. many of the engines were in need of repair, with almost 1/3 of them wrecked. breakdowns were common as the fleet consisted mostly of old engines now that the good ones were rented out, which weren't even getting half of the repairs they would need because SSSX was too busy with it's renting business to repair them. profits reached a record low, swirl began frantically repairing its engines and recalling the rented ones but it was too late. in 2011 Swirl had to either declare bankruptcy or sell all their track and many of their engines. it was then, however, that a new light dawned. Several railroads offered to buy parts of their tracks, paying good money as Swirl had always been good to them. Hyperton, in particular, assisted by paying almost 3/5s more for track than it was worth. Swirl had to sell only 2/5ths their rails and stayed in business. SD70s and ES44ACs were purchased while the aging GP38-2s and Dash 8s were sent in for repairs. #41 was forced to fill the gaps left behind by the other engines as they were being repaired. however, by 2018 it was obvious that Swirl Systems could not stay in business much longer. Sure enough, in august of 2019 the company was slowly going bankrupt again as the demand for their engines dropped lower and lower, and the rail traffic was no longer enough to keep it alive. Hyperton, however, saw what was happening and quickly offered to buy/merge the two companies. Swirl accepted this proposal and became one of the 8 railways making up Hyperton. nearly all of the original 57 GP38-2s had been modified, wrecked, or sold with the exception of two of them: #41 and #46. the latter, however, was found sitting off the tracks after it rolled backward off them, breaking the wheelstops and continuing onward several yards. it was in no fit state to work and so was retired, then sent to work on a short line. #41, however was repainted into the old SSSX livery and was made a heritage engine as a tribute to Swirl Systems. now registered as HTRX 41-2805 but usually referred to as just 41, it has become a valued part of the Hyperton's roster of heritage engines. it is listed as a GP38-2s, 1 of only 2 still alive.

So if you just barely drop it it might help. Also, you could change the colors to a darker version.

That was some very detailed information.

Supposedly, all of the Preserved Collection will be made Livery Designer compatible - eventually.

Swirl Systems "old" and "bright" liveries applied to the C40-8w and GP38-2 respectively. swirl did not paint any C40s in the "bright" scheme.

good lord I am churning out liveries today!
Hyperton BLU livery was created out of mountainous terrain railway's 3 tone blue paint scheme. after Hyperton obtained MTR it modified the MTR 3TB used by many of the trains on MTR's massive line. the resulting livery was liked so much by the director of Hyperton that it was applied to almost all Dash-8s at once. MtR's logo was added as a tribute to the railway. 20210224145217_1.jpg 20210224145224_1.jpg 20210224145230_1.jpg

I have to ask....has Hyperton decided to become involved with international logistics and purchase a class 66?

    well... I mean there's a Hyperton ICE3
    20201210160947_1.jpg
    and a DB 363 20210105201908_1.jpg
    and a talent 2

(note: the talent 2 and ICE were the 3rd trains I ever made :).)

so... why not? (I presume you want to make it cause I don't have east coast)
(me waiting as best as I can for all the other routes to have livery design capability so I can expand Hyperton)

oh also 2 questions: after using the livery designer for several hours does anyone get FPS drops when they try to play a route?
and question 2: how do you get good weathering I can't seem to do it
