I’ve compiled a list of the most popular routes and traction that people want to see in the U.K. There’s at least one thread a week on each of these. (In no particular order) Extension to GWE. Perhaps Reading-Bristol or Reading to Oxford. Traction to also include Class 800/802, Class 387, Class 345s West Coast Mainline. Perhaps London Euston to Birmingham. Traction: Class 390, Class 221 both of which are the only titling trains in the U.K. East Coast Mainline. Perhaps London Kings Cross to Peterborough. Traction: Class 800/801, Class 91, Class 700, also Class 319/321 if route set a few years ago South Western Mainline. Perhaps London Waterloo to Basingstoke. Traction: Class 450/444 desiros, Class 158/159 Sprinters, Class 455 Southern Mainline. London Victoria to Gatwick Airport/Brighton. Great Eastern Mainline. Perhaps London Liverpool Street to Ipswich. Traction: Class 90, Class 745/755 new Stadler units GWE Route in West Country. Perhaps Plymouth to Penzance. Traction: Class 800, Class 15x sprinters Midland Mainline. Perhaps London St Pancras to Bedford or Derby to Sheffield. Traction: Class 15x, Class 222, HSTs, Class 80x, Class 700 Class 15x Sprinters on any route Class 14x Pacers on any route
I really want to see Merseyrail, but to be fair, I’d be happy with anything on that list. So many British routes, so little time to make them all.
I would love for extension for gwe or as a newer modern gwe with class 800 and,but i would love to operate a tilting train for a different feel and experience .3rd for me would be simply southwestern because i love the way there trains look respectively
So it looks like East Coast and West Coast mainlines are the most popular. They would probably be my choice too but like some other people, I’d be happy to see any of those on the list.
South Wales valley out of Cardiff lines for me, opens up the opportunity for multiple lines (ie. different valleys) and has a range of different stock, such as the class 142s, 143s, 150s, 153s, and 170s. Cardiff Central also is still served by GWR 2+4 HSTs and class 166s, which could be added in as layers to make the station more busy. As for freight, a class 66 runs up to the Cwmbargoed Colliery every day on the Rhymney line too.
I wish we got more traction to use on NTP I suggested a class 124 but there is more we can have like maybe let us use the class 31 after all it is a loco addon so It shouldn't be just for TVL add a scenario or 2 for it on NTP and let us use it on the 24h Timetable
I voted for Southern Mainline would love to see Victoria to Brighton route TS classic still holds today. Also wouldn't mind Southeastern Mainline from Charing X to Tonbridge I know we just got HS from St. Pancras and another third rail route I would love to see this replicated we haven't had it in TS classic yet. So why can't TSW2 get it first.
Personally the cross city line and the stansted express+ Lea valley line would be better, then London to Brighton and Lewes
My local line! Sounds like a fantastic route to implement. It could even be set around 2004, with some class 37 loco hauled action as well as sprinters and pacers!
I made a post on Scottish routes and made a follow up poll including the lines I suggested and Edinburgh - Glasgow is kinda popular
I’d like to see more suburban routes with some intensive driving work and plenty of stations. London Overground would probably be the best example of this - however it would make more sense to do a Southeastern Metro route with the Class 465 already available.
