Man, that's a bad translation. The German term you got out of Google Translate there translates to "pilot automatic measurement". Whatever that is supposed to mean. The German term for "cab car" is "Steuerwagen".
There is no cab car in the DB BR 101 DLC. 2 coachs (probably one first class and one second class) are included.
I would be okay with that as long as it doesn't limit the routes you can run it on. For example, on HMA another loco would need to take away the coaches at München Hbf so the train can turn around. This could be done by another BR101 or maybe a BR363. But I doubt if DTG will add these shunting maneuvers, they might not even add the BR101 to other routes, which would be a shame.
I think the coaches that will be delivered with the BR 101 will most likely be Eurofima or modernized m-Wagen coaches. Below you can see the most common types of these coaches: Bpmmz 284 2nd class open coach Bpmmdz 285 2nd class open coach with bike storage Avmmz 106 1st class compartment coach with reduced number of compartments Apmmz 126 1st class open coach Bvmkz 856 2nd class compartment coach with bistro
These are indeed the most common ones, only the Bimdzf would be missing. All the other ex-interregio coaches are quite rare nowadays I believe.
I would really like to see it, but sadly they confirmed the cab car isn't coming with the BR 101 again yesterday.
Well if the cab car isn’t coming with the DB BR 101, then what trains will the 101 pull? Also, why isn’t the cab car not coming with the DB BR 101, just so I know.
The BR 101 will haul 1st and 2nd class Intercity coaches. The services are apparently set up in a way that allows operations without a cab car. The reason for this is that modelling the cab car would be 'like modelling an entire new loco'. Which I can understand because the cab car IRL is converted from an ex-interregio coach, which is different from the other IC coaches, they therefore couldn't reuse part of those models (like on other cabcars, where the cab car and conventional coaches are built on the same basis), which does mean the cab car would have to be modelled from scratch. I still hope the cab car comes with something like a BR 120 DLC, where they can reuse the 1st and 2nd class coaches from the BR 101, which frees up resources and time for modelling the cab car (and maybe a restaurant car). I'll make a suggestion for that after the BR 101 gets released .
Yes and it will be needed to that there's no need for RRO G6 RSN BR363 & Main Spessart Bahn DB BR204 to shunt the wagons around for return trip in HRR
If I understood Sam correctly yesterday, the timetabled 101 services will all go in one direction only, so no turnaround will be needed. After all, I don't believe any real-life IC services terminate in Dortmund or Bochum, they all go on elsewhere (in game, out through a portal). Interestingly, Dortmund is the terminus for several ICE services.
As I read the schedule, only the IC 32 terminates at Dortmund, and that only sometimes (some trains go on via Hannover to Berlin)
There is the IC 2006 & 2007 "Schwarzwald" between Dortmund and Konstanz which is only serviced on Saturdays. There are also IC 2411, IC 2012, IC 2013 & IC 2414 "Allgäu" towards and from Stuttgart with extensions to Oberstdorf.
Since the db br 101 and the IC coaches have a restricted speed of 200kph (124mph). Does that mean, we will be able to drive the 101 on Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr at 200kph? So, the real question is: Will we be able to drive at 200kph with the IC coaches or 160kph only? I am really confused with the speeds that’s all?
Does anyone think there will be a new route in the future, where we will be be able to drive the DB BR101 and the IC coaches at their restricted speed of 200kph. It would be nice.
A perfect route for this train would be the Route Cologne Wuppertal https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...al-ice-2-and-national-express-talent-2.35861/ but still the maximum speed there is 160 km/h and usually there only go the IC2 trains but on a route between Augsburg and Ulm there it is possible to go up to 200 km/h for the train and it would be a continuing route add on that can be expanded with another route between Ulm and Stuttgart
As the DB BR 101 will be driven on Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr, what will the maximum number of coaches for it to pull (without the cab car) as a whole train?
I'm sure at some point there will be a new german route with a layer for the 101 where it can accelerate to 200kmh. And you can do it by yourself by scenario planner in HMA or SKA.
I think the cars bord bistro will be offered beaucause I see the bord bistro in Essen HFB with the BR 101 with DB AG
Would be awesome but I think it was mentioned every now and then that it will only include a first and second class, no mention of board bistro
