I do hope it comes with the 314 and the 385 so there is something for everyone. Edit: A 314 in Strathclyde livery would make my day!
It is the 314. It has been confirmed in the roadmap stream tonight. It will also be in the ScotRail livery.
There will be others added I think but they aren't going to release any further info on the route until it's closer to release time.
I've never done any research into railways from Scotland, but a bit of research online following this announcement has me interested. I think this will be a day one purchase for me
Not a day one purchase for me, prefer much more modern stuff, like SEHS and most of the German routes.
I just prefer newer trains in general, I guess there's always gonna be a generational preference in train simulator.
For their first Scottish route in the game this is underwhelming to say the least. Did DTG just pick this because its short and easy to do? Boring.
That is probably the case, it would be nice to see the west highland line or another interesting route in Scotland.
I'm just going to enjoy having some proper overhead EMUs finally, I have no attachment to 3rd railers having no real experience of them beyond the underground and 1 trip to Liverpool, and some of the Scottish trains are very similar to those I grew up with on the GEML, big plus there for me.
I don’t disagree, but the Cathcart Circle line has something to offer too. I’m sure more Scottish routes will get made and I hope they do.
https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ayrshire-coast-line.20672/ Someone put this idea forward in the suggestions thread, which just happens to be my local line. I'd say far better. I'm not familiar with the Highland lines but I'm sure they would be far better than an urban, grey looking bore fest.
Given the lenth of routes on TSW there is little chance of that ..would like to see Edinburgh to Glasgow
Here’s an interesting video on the Class 314 showcasing its farewell tour back in 2019. It’s a good insight into this train...
The route may be set before the 314's were retired, so maybe 2015-18. If you're talking about getting reference for it, they can use whatever reference they get from the 313, or they can view a "Preserved" 314 unit.
Seeing as it won't just be the 314 in it, hopefully the 2nd loco is a 380 and maybe a 320 as loco DLC
It will be a great route if done right. Fingers crossed, looking forward to it and hoping that we get 380 or 385 as well with the route. With only 314 it will be a bit too lonely. First thou, there are still some great routes to come out sooner. Looking good for this year in the world of train sim and two.
