Those of us of a certain age (ahem), may remember that when in school certain windows or doors were fitted with safety glass... You know the type I mean, not the toughened style that breaks into a bazillion pieces, the type that has the wire mesh impregnated into the middle of the glass pane...

Anyway... I was driving a Peak last night for the first time in ages, and very quickly became infuriated with the view out the windscreen that very much reminded me of being back in school...

Is there a way to "fix" this infuriating problem, ie: remove the "safety glass" and peer through a clear windscreen???

I seem to recall the 142 is similarly affected also...

Ah, that't the new retro-fitted heated windscreens! :D (Yes I too remember the wired safety windows, but alas I don't have a solution for it in game)

This is not Safety Glass as you would not get it in the side windows

Is this the current DTG Peak or the IHH version?

If that's the DTG Peak, I don't get that here. I don't get it in the DTG 142 either.

    Peter...

I couldn't honestly tell you... The photo is a scenario where you drive a Peak from York to Newcastle in the dead of night (well after 2130 anyway)...

If you had seen the outside the DTG version has two marker light and I think all the IHH versions - which you would have bought before 2013 have headcodes
If it is the DTG version it might just be your graphics settings

Looks like graphics settings to me. I used to get that when using lower levels than max on a few things

Yes I think it is down to graphics settings, I used to get it too.

Whilst we are on the subject of windows, I wish there was an option to turn dirty windows off, I know if is realistic but I would prefer an uninhibited clear view forward.

Sometimes it can be a bit much: you wonder if they were ever washed!

There was an emu I was in the other day: the wiper only covered part of my field of view, leaving the rest rather dirty.

I would assume that health and safety would dictate that a window has to be clean.

I commented that I wished if you could turn off the AP effect about having fly bugs on the windscreen.
Other people here seemed to think I was being stupid

I did change the Class 86 windscreens in the AP pack for the default version without the stupid reflections
