I just completed my first run from Faversham to Gravesend in the 465 and I got to say well done DTG it's great. SEHS has got busier as well with the timetables I was stuck behind a slow train into Gravesend that has never happened to me before. Also I'm so happy the bouncy squeak noise thing idk where it's from but sounds just like real life is in the sounds.
If you haven’t already I recommend turning regenerative breaking on, you get the very nice sounds of the motors winding down.
Ah ok just wanted to make sure as i couldn't find anything on the train like you can get with other locos i.e computer
It doesn't show up if you're trying to find it during the tutorial, but from what I remember it's somewhere to the right of the dash console and not on the left panel where all the other lighting gubbins are.
Remember the 375 had two formation options a 4/8 car and the last update nixs the 8 car option. Well guess what the 465/9 also has a 4/8 car option, how long will it's 8 car option last?
What am I doing wrong? Speed set doesn't seem to work and Shift or Control +R doesn't activate it either
The 465 sounds absolutely stunning in TSW 2 and the three trophies I’ve earned so far have all popped successfully. The train is a joy to drive. Very quick to get going and to stop. Very fun. I did notice that in the tutorial, there are no headlights lit up despite setting the switch and on the scenario ‘Temporary Contract’ I was almost a minute late leaving Rochester through no fault of my own, but was able to make the time back up over the run. There is also a lack of 465 AI, but I might not have given it enough time to encounter one.
That might not be such a bad thing I guess if they aren't used as much which I believe is the case, plus it is more exciting when you do spot one (my inner train spotter is coming out now)!
Does this loco dlc add extra services into the timetable, or does it just substitute into the preexisting services? (like the baby bullet does on pen corridor)
Thought it might. Oh well at least there's lots of 375 services so it shouldn't be a problem. Got £10 worth of reward points anyway so it's not like it'll cost me much ;P
When people complained about the level of services in the initial pre-release video for SEHS DTG decided to put in the Gravesend services as 375 run, and these are subbed in with the 465 by this pack (even though in real life they're run by 700s operated by Thameslink) There are also a few Victoria services run daily by 465s which should now be run properly by those units in game
These are not subbed though, there is no 465 AI services currently. I have not seen one 465 AI yet and have done several journeys up and down the route.
Other people have seen it so I don't know why you are not. Either sub a support ticket or if you're about on the stream later see if they address it then
I really hope someone can help me. For the life of me I cannot figure out what train I've been on in real life that sounds almost exactly like the 465. I'm not obsessed with trains in real life, so I only go on them when I need to (I just enjoy pretending to drive them ;P). I'm pretty sure I've never been on a 465 in real life, but maybe I have and just don't realise. Since I was born in 1990, I've mainly travelled on South west mainline into Waterloo and travelled alot in London on the underground and over ground lines. In the early 2010's I travelled from Potter's bar into London fairly regularly. Has the 465 ever been used on any of these lines, or is there another train I may have been on that sounds like the 465? The sounds are so familiar and I can't figure out where I know it from. It's bugging the hell out of me...
The Class 365, which is also similar, was a Potters Bar serving train. It was a 365 involved in the 2002 Potters Bar crash.
The class 365 (the OLE AC version of the 465) sounds similar, they ran on the ECML so you'd have almost definitely ridden on them from Potters Bar.
Ah yes the 365 is probably the right one. It looks familiar so I probably did travel on them to and from potters bar. Thanks alot That was bugging the hell outta me ;P
I also purchased the DLC and I think it's probably one of the best locomotives in the game right now. I haven't encountered any bugs and it's a joy to drive. The looks, the speed, the sound, it's all very well put together. There are Journey mode chapters, Scenarios, lots of services so I'm completely satisfied with it. Definitely the most enjoyable train to drive on Southeastern (sorry, 395).
The Dutch double decker trains (VIRM) have almost similar acceleration and deceleration sounds. Build by Talbot, part of bombardier now owned by Alstom.
