after seeing the feedback from my last discussion thread called 'Dmu hype' which is still an ongoing discussion thread. I thought I would make a poll out of the DMUs everyone said they would like to see in TSW 2 so its more clear to DTG what we all would like to see.
I would take a pacer any day, one of my favourite multiple units from the UK. I would be happy with any of the 2nd Gen dmu's on the list though.
I would love to see a 158, but even better an NSE/SWT/SWR 159 in game. The Class 170 DMU was not on your list, but that could make an interesting option IMO.
Voted for Class 158 one of my favourite trains from TS classic hoping we get this sooner rather than later
Looks like the class 142 and 158 are the top 2 at the moment hopefully, this will help DTG to know that these 2 DMUs are what we would like to see soon when possible
The one I would like to see most wasn't listed - Class 120 Cross Country. With that caveat I voted for Class 108 as fairly ubiquitous around the country and ideal for branch lines, then the 158 as done properly with correct sounds these were (are) one of the best second gen units.
There were some incredible 1st generation units such as Classes 120, 123, 124, 126 which were all long distance types. Then there were classes 125 and 127 with hydraulic transmission. Then lastly are the often overlooked parcels units of classes 128, 129 and 130. Aside from these were the numerous variations of the standard mechanical transmission types which each had their own quirks. So much choice but not yet reflected in game.
Would love to see them all but at least from the poll DTG will now what to do next and possibly and order to do them in from the poll information
Class 158 still in the lead with class 142 in second place. With more votes coming in will class 158 loss its lead as the other classes catch up?
156 & 150/2 because they replaced NTP Class 101s in the 1980s-1990s and can be coupled to each other.
Another unit you could add is the Class 105. These units used to run all over the place and gave people lots of noise. Also with the curved seat backs, they were something different.
