The route represents the time when they where in the middle of building the overhead wires. So its correct that at some points there are no wires, others miss supports and so on. And since they didn't bother building the proper tension pullers, it looks like they just all end mid-air.
no if you look at the pic again this is just before old oak and North pole depots the wires are missing and they were there before the update
There is also missing wires under bridges, over crossings and sidings too. Also sometimes the wires just abruptly stop, with no end catenary.
