Does TSW2 utilize the Steam Cloud for your profile, or will I have to make a new one on a new PC? If so, can I transfer my old profile over? I have progress that I don't want to lose.

I am currently at work so I can't give you the exact directory, but there is a save game file located on your computer. I believe it must be somewhere in your documents/my games folder.

I copy these files from time to time just in case something happens, to not lose all progression, so I happen to know that at least.

There is no steam cloud support as far as I know though.

You just need to coy the contents of this folder to your new computer. Make sure to send it to exactly the same folder.

    Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld2\Saved

where Documents is your documents folder.

Make sure to make backups regularly

Your steam screenshots (F12) are at a different location, so you need to treat them separately.

I knew about the screenshots, you kind of need to know where they are for the contest ;). But yeah, thanks! I'm getting a new PC at some point in the near future, and my TSW2 save is on a gaming laptop that I'm loaning from a relative, so I just wanted to know how when the time comes.

If you can access an external hard drive you could backup your route files.
I had a ten hour download.
    Fortunately it was overnight,

Just did this last night to get my profile over to my new system. Glad I grabbed that folder while backing up files.

I'm a bit surprised that it's not synced with Steam Cloud. That would be a very handy feature.

I agree. I wonder what the rationale is behind not including Steam Cloud functionality. More than once now I have lost my save data and Steam can't come to my rescue.

    Cheers

I did this recently when I reinstalled Windows. I made the mistake of thinking TSW2 used Steam Cloud saves. It does not.
