Since the most recent update my loading times have been really long. They used to be in less then a minute but some of the 465 services have taken 2-3 minutes to load which is really bad I am on Xbox One basic edition
would be helpful if people could put their model (even specific model number) on here. There are several specs and variations all of which could cause issues, so being more specific allows for better diagnosis of issues
This shows the remarkable difference between the ssd and old school hard drive. My standard xbox one usually takes the best part of a minute to load a service, sometimes even longer. And don't even get me started on how long it takes to load the game up in the first place... I can only imagine it will get worse with each additional dlc...
I've noticed recently that it has taken longer for my Xbox 1 to load in. There is at least 2 iterations of the loading screens before it loads in.
On my Series X, it feels almost instantaneous so went for the 1-5s option. It is one of the key differences I've noticed with the Series X compared to my previous One S - games are so much quicker to load.
X1X (external SSD) is around 15-20 seconds for both SKA and GWE. Not too shabby when (if you're old enough to remember) you consider that: LOAD"" [enter] Took almost 4 mins to move 48k of data from cassette tape to 'top of the range' computer - and all you had was a picture plus squeaky modem-esque noises to keep you company. Anyhows, when the game finally does load all you're probably going to do is stare out of a cab window (for upto 30mins) watching the same trees pass you by so a couple of minutes on a loading screen should be a doddle
It normally takes around six minutes from powering up the Xbox to being able to drive. The most annoying bit is that when you click on a route in the main menu it automatically takes you to your next journey or scenario. You have to wait for that to load and then exit back to the main menu. Is there a way of stopping it doing this?
I'm on a Series X and it's very much a blink and you'll miss the loading time. No more than 5 seconds
love this taken me back ohhh around 30 plus years and a crafty little item from amstrad. The CPC464 back on topic. XBOX ONE X : nifty but nowhere near those series load times Classic PS4 : around the minute mark
Uff timed it. 31 seconds on the ONE X And for fun and to help those with VCR xbox’s feel a little better... It was 43 seconds on standard PS4 (same route and timetable tested in TSW2) seems many that voted as enjoying rapid loading times. And including myself, those that voted and commented wish to upgrade. If only it were that easy both £ and availability.
Just tried loading Hoo runaround on xbox one (predecessor of the one s). 85 seconds - is that a high score?
I've got a super old xbox. It's an Xbox Forza Motorsport 6 edition and it does take quite a while to load. Over a minute definitely.
Hi, here are my average results from the last year investigation. Time from clicking icon on the dashboard until acces to the game menu - starting game time. TSW 2020 - Xbox One 2m47s (167 seconds) - internal HDD Xbox 1TB 2m40s (160 seconds) - external HDD Seagate Expansion Portable 1TB 1m32s (92 seconds) - external SDD Samsung T5 500GB TSW 2 - Xbox Series X plenty seconds to open the game, few to start scenario, so did not count in details Interesting thing was that external HDD plugged by USB 3.0 port was a little faster than internal Xbox HDD. I decided to buy external SDD and was satisfied that time. Now I have XSX and I completely do not pay attention to loading times.
1-5 seconds on a Series X using a 4tb Toshiba Hard Drive originally for Xbox One 2013 model. For that one took me 6-10 seconds using the same Toshiba Hard Drive
Booting up the game takes about 2 minutes max and loading a service takes about a minute, give or take. I play on the base Xbox One.
I play TSW2 on my Original Xbox One and it takes about 3 minutes to load the game before showing the DTG logo and I've installed the game my 2TB Seagate External Hard Drive.
This game makes GTA 5 seem fast to load. Let alone the fact I have to enter a service, exit service, then enter livery designer. It makes me sit through 4 or so loading sequences. So slow.
When I try to boot it on my original XBox One it usualy tells me once or twice that it's taking too long to start and kicks me back to my home screen. When it does finally decide to boot it takes minutes, and likewise whenever I'm going into something in the game after that it'll usually go at least twice around each of the loading images.
Original launch day Xbox One - around 5 mins to load, but it's to be expected the thing is on its way out anyway. I'd like to know if there's a big difference in load times between the Series S and X, I keep seeing the Series S available on the store.
Do you think the new feature of booting up with the begin/dismiss option was done purely because of loading times on older machines? If so thats a pretty well thought through additional feature....
Really impressed with the load times on the series x. Gone are the days of making a coffee and having a ciggie while waiting for it to load. The load times on my one s were getting horrendous and worse with each new dlc
Xbox One S from statrting the game to run a route around 45 seconds. I noticed that if you have more routes and locos installed on your XBox, the loading time is longer, so I uninstalled those routes which i don't are interested in a t m...
I have a1st gen Xbox one which I fitted with a 1tb SSD and now loading times compare with my 1 year old Xbox one x
First default Xbox, I disassembled myself and put HDD 1TB Seagate a time ago. From the dash to the initial menu it takes 120 seconds. From the route to the game, 55 seconds. TDW2020 Deluxe Edition. Since they talked about SSD, what about pendrives?
Initial start up varies from 10 mins to never, but when it does load services take about a minute to load in. I’m using the original Xbox one.
