Is it just me or is it far too easy to activate the emergency brake on the 395 because of the speed with which the brake percentage goes from Min to Max? It's like it's on a hair trigger.

I've inadvertently applied it 3 times during the past couple of days running the 395.

It would be nice if Dovetail could move the emergency brakes on consoles away from the standard R1 or L2 console control and make it so that you have to click the actual button in the cab.

It is delicate, just like the real thing. Max brake is quite harsh, for passenger comfort there's a little red bar on the brake % guage that you should stay below. If you do that it should help avoid emergency application in your case, hope that helps.

Best advice I can give is as I do. While not perfect, I do apply breaks notch by notch. Rarely going all out. Once I'm at the station on the stopping marker I apply max breaks with one exception. When I arrive to Stratford then I apply full breaks to bring the train to stop from around 90km/h.
