Yes, finally my home route. I am so in to this especially as the unit looks good and so do the initial shots of the route build.

    I am all about this!!

American with no experience anything UK outside of TS... and I'm hella excited about this. As this is something different as far as equipment. And I have a fondness for the look of this Loco. This is very much welcomed. I can imagine the excitement for those who are familiar with this line and equipment. I'm jealous. But stoked as hell about this.

I guess I kind of took the surprise element out of this, but it wasn't me that put the achievements on Steam

From the screen shot it looks like it will have a properly modelled spring season, which will be nice.

I really hope that Armstrong powerhouse could do a enhancement pack for the class 323 electric trains

Why, you don't know what the audio or features are like, you can't just dismiss it without having seen it in action first.

To be fair to DTG the two routes they've made since WCML South, Baltimore-DC and Riesa-Dresden are very well done.

You've inadvertently upset Barnt Green, Longbridge, Northfield, Kings Norton, Selly Oak, Duddeston, Gravelly Hill, Erdington, Chester Road, Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield, Four Oaks, Butlers Lane and Shenstone for not mentioning them (I left out New Street and Lichfield Trent Valley as they already appear in other routes).

Why not buy TS2021? You won't want to go back to TSW after. That's what I found.

Because it has limited other traction for AI services, reskins and no ability for custom mods such as destination screens, detailed logos etc via child objects. So I for one am glad.

Yes I would like to see that being a resident on the route. There is a freeware Chiltern route on UKTS which covers the route as far as Kidderminster I think.

    Why not?!

I bought TSW/TSW2, and after buying both (at different times/stages, obviously) within a session or two I found myself back on TS classic and uninstalling TSW2. Not sure I'll install it again for a fair while.

I don't have any axes to grind with TSW, or indeed DTG for giving it a lot of attention. I think there is room for a more "arcade-like", gameish train sim. But for people who want scope to develop scenarios for a much broader range of operations TS classic wins hands down -- especially with the plethora of routes available of varying lengths and complexities, and tons of stock.

Some of the stock developed for TSxx (such as the AP 37s and 411/412) is graphically every bit as good as TSW content IMO, but without the slightly otherworldly lighting. It's only the console users who are stuck with TSW really.

I have both installed but spend far more time in TS1 as there is so much content plus you can make much more complex scenarios.

For example I can run a BR blue class 117 on the GWML without overhead wires on TS1 whereas on TSW I can only run an incorrectly liveried class 101 because that is what DTG deems to be acceptable on a timetable provided by DTG unless I use the very basic scenario planner!

Why the need for all caps and so many question marks.
It doesn't help and it looks immature.

As for why not, only one answer, because it was made for TS21.

Perhaps to make sure things work before making it for TSW?

Sounds are decent standard, custom stations are very well done with lots of custom signs and posters etc. A credit to the hard work done by Duncan (who was on stream) to provide such detail to the development team

I did think the GTO start up was a bit off - but IME the TS engine doesn't really do GTO that well. (TSW does seem a bit better there)

Looks a really decent route. Right up my street, commuter route with frequent stops, and also a decent length so some decent end to end scenarios!

Been almost exclusively playing TSW2 nowadays, but we’ve had Suburban Glasgow and now this route, which I know has been a requested a lot. There’s still plenty of life in TS2021! 323 sounds brilliant.

Now, bring it over to TSW2 ;)

All 323s in the Birmingham area and those in the North West have the same 3 Phase motors they were built with

The 323 sounds are recorded by a 323 driver. Maybe instead of jumping at the opportunity to spend even more money we should make clear to DTG that we expect them to fix the odd broken gaps in the sound. The actual sound itself is accurate and I don't see how AP would do any better, the issue seems to be the mixing and weird glitching of some sort which DTG can fix...if they care.

The sounds themselves are good, but the way they've been implemented are not.

Its like giving Stevie Wonder a 6 grand DSLR and then saying the camera is crap because he hasn't taken good photos.
