Hi, I drove the Amtrak Southwest Chief between Naperville and Chicago Union Station on the Racetrack (Chicago-Aurora-Line) yesterday. After 10 minutes, I have experienced an issue with the alerter. Normally you have to press "Q" or the "!" Button in the HUD. But it did not help. The alerter went on again and again. Every second. Sometimes, after pressing "Q" 15-20 times, it helps. Someone else have or had this problem? It´s very annoying. Thank you very much. Best Regards AmtrakEngine
Hi Anthony, I was not too fast. I paid extra attention to it. I tried it again. No change. Press "Q" 20 times (!) may help. With the same consist on another route, like Marias Pass or Stevens Pass, no problem. Only while playing "Racetrack" Chicago to Aurora. Otherwise thank you.
I'm having a problem with the commuter trains for the Pacific Surfliner route. The alerter has no audio attached to it, so when it goes off, you can't hear it. You have to be lucky enough to catch the little alerter button on the HUD blinking out of the corner of your eye, otherwise the train will go into emergency. DTG, in the future, can you please be sure to include the appropriate audio if a train has an alerter system? Because this is just plain stupid.
Yes, of course, I can read. But none gave an answer in the meanwile. Where is the problem? My hint could still be useful; in my case the issue has been fixed.
Just a question: did you find/know the issue fix? If yes, you should post it in two an half years. If not, why you replied to my post? Do you really find so annoying my answer? I don't understand the reason why.
I was simply pointing out that the last post in this thread was Two and a Half years ago. I did not know when you posted if you realised that fact. Did I say there was something wrong with your post?
