Hi, Looking at getting this beast and just would like to know if this Loco is just used for shunting etc in TVL or can it be used to with coaches ?
I realy like the 31, it's an underrated loco imo. On TVL it's mainly used to haul cement wagons from one yard to another, but it's timetable does also include passanger runs. For those, you're not using the passenger coaches you see on NTP, but you'll be pulling a 101 with your class31. Might seem a bit odd, but it's quirky As an added bonus, getting the 31 means you'll be able to use it on other routes as well. You can use it on the tourist runs on ECW and SEHS and if you happen to have the new Diesel Legends GWE, you'll be able to use it there as well
No shunting. You can use it in freight services and as a pulling loco with Class 101 units for some passenger service.
