Finally started playing Sand Patch Grade and completed my first full (East to West) run using an A4400CW. I quite enjoyed the run, even though there isn’t a whole lot to do most of the route other than have the train in max power up hill and on dynamic brake downhill. The long tunnel shortly after Mance was horrid. It looked full of light most of its length and only really went dark as I was approaching the exit. The journey also took 2 hours 4 minutes even though the time shown prior to selecting the service said 90 minutes. Other than those two things, I could get to like the route.
I have to ask how have you not had a go at SPG after all this time? Especially having both PS5 and platinum for this game also
I’ve noticed white light in the tunnels in a few of the legacy TSW 2020 routes really- typically at the bottom of the tunnel walls where they intersect with the track bed. I imagine these issues are still present in these same routes running under TSW 2 unfortunately.
The 4400 makes it too easy. Try it with less horsepower, and you'll have plenty to do on the way down.....
I’ve noticed as well you can only get Bronze or Silver medals doing the services that require you to attach a couple of locomotives to a train ready for that train to run a full length service.
It would be good if there was a hint guide on how to get things right and gain gold. I agree with you some it is simple to get gold and others really difficult and you cannot see what you have done wrong, to not achieve gold.
