If the route were to be set in 2018 then...
Personally, the 43+ mk3 coach stock and 156, 385 should be included with this route, then as an add on, the class 91+ mk4 coach stock and the 801.
Also this section of the route is beautiful on a summers day!

How about to set the timestamp to the eighties? Or Post Electricifation up to Edinburgh?
TSW have now coaches, MK1 and MK2, MK3 in HST sets. Add some local traffic, sleeper cars and mabye class 86 and there you go.

I would personally prefer it if it were to be set between 2011-2018

Excellent idea and from what I can see this will allow console players to experience what the PC community provided they also own sister game train Sim 21 for this route ECML North Newcastle upon Tyne to Edinburgh Waverley. Furthermore LNER class 800 & transpennine Express class 802 can receive a future reskin into GWR paint just in case if there is a need of a 2020 time setting GWML that predates the February 2021 closure of Old Oak Common Depot. Is there an associate the depot for this portion of the East Coast Mainline that's where some tutorial levels take place.

I avoided historical eras on purpose here.

I think this section would be perfect in the modern era and in my opinion the best first route on the ECML. I think it should come with the 158, 385 and the 800 with the 91+MK4 as a dlc. Route would be perfect with the short branch to North Berwick just to complete the ScotRail section of the line. Would it be possible to have both the 800 and 802?

801’s and 802’s are very similar, however the 802 is slightly shorter

Yeah, wondering if they were similar enough to model them all together or if that would be too difficult... That said they probably are similar enough.

    LNER use electric 800/1 (9car) /2 (5car) and bi- mode 801/1 (5car) and /2 (9car)
    TPE use 802/2 (5car).
It would be a dream to get all of them but given they're very similar (particularly the 800s and 802s) it is theoretically possible. Would be fun if we were assigned them at random or depending on the service, eg, select 80x Azuma and assigned any of them

Its The other way around Class 800 & 802 bi mode while 801 is only 25kv 50hz. What you are actually is giving Train Sim World another TS21 train the Class 800 & 801 IET.

An interesting suggestion and of course there is an existing TS1 route which may give DTG an idea of popularity. It is long though. What would be the better option if length was an issue. Newcastle to Berwick or Edinburgh to Berwick?

Oops... My bad, thank you :)

It's an hour 20 from Newcastle to Edinburgh, long, but people want to see longer routes and this would be challenging but incredibly scenic.

I agree with you and that should introduce players to a Classic Train Sim 21 Train the Class 801 and 800
