We all know the Pacific Surfliner as the west-coast beauty it really is in TS18, but adding the experience of a TSW train sim for the Surfliner would make things better. We've seen the limitations and how creative DTG is in their Surfliner model of the TS18 route, but with how open-world TSW is and how limited (I feel) the NEC is, this ambitious west-coast beauty could be the thing of legends that some fanatics could really love. It's an ambitious project, yea, but similar to how DTG did for the PS TS, a creation of the PS again could allow an ambitious project that numerous amounts of people will want. Plus, a whole section of the PS was ignored in the TS version. LA-San Luis Obispo. It's not anything like the beach-cities area of the LA-SD route, and if DTG is willing, it might be a great long-term project.
From Los Angeles it would go to Anaheim and From San Diego it would go to Encinitas, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea.
I don't think I understand what you're saying, the whole route would be better. You wouldn't only want a quarter of the real route, would you? Take the Marias Pass. Shelby to 1/4 the way to Whitefish. It doesn't work.
DTG has a 30 mile route criteria, it wouldn't go too far, but it would look good. Maybe when they release the route editor someone can make it as a long distance, or keep it the way it is if it was made.
Maybe DTG could create the route between Santa Barbara and Oxnard which has some nice coastal scenery and is only 35 miles long. Once the editing tools are released, a team similar to the NEC Development Team could extend the route to cover the entire Pacific Surfliner route.
