When I got my Xbox 2 years ago , the first game I played was tsw2020 , and I knew from when I first played it that it would be the game I played the most . What about you ?

February 2019, first train game I ever played. I played GWE for 5 hours with the Class 166.

Something to bear in mind is that the forums (of any game) tend to attract the “hardcore” players of said game. (Sweeping generalisation I know)

on that basis however I would expect to see the results skew towards the earliest dates.

personally I may have only started in spring last year, but since TSW2 I’ve put in almost 700 hours (added to TSW2020 making about 1000 hours in the past 12 months)

not seeing the later dates filled will not necessarily translate to slower or lack of growth.

I picked up TSW2020 not long after the original UK lockdown. I think it was brought to my attention by a sale if I remember correctly, it found me anyway rather than me finding it and I'm glad it did!

I started out playing on a base PS4 and then made the switch to laptop though I do still play the console version from time to time.

I noticed TSW when I realised their was actually a train simulator game on Xbox one, the version at the time when I bought it was TSW founders edition that came with GWE

I played tsw2020 collectors edition in Winter 2020 but that's not a option in the poll. I played a lot of ts but didn't get into the tsw bandwagon until there was a decent selection of routes and once I got the game, I enjoyed it although dtg's practices at the time in my opinion weren't the best but they have made some changes

Winter 2020-2021 since Train Sim World 2020 is on Xbox Game Pass installed it first on Xbox One then later transferred to Xbox Series X using the same external hard drive as the Xbox One

I bought TSW (or TSW: CSX Heavy Haul as it was known back then...) at launch, but it took a while for it to become my 'default' train game - I'd been playing TS Classic since 'Railworks 2: Train Simulator' and because my PC is hilariously terrible that title generally ran better, so I stuck with it.

TSW2 was a day one purchase and game hours are roughly 50% of TS Classic now. I guess one just gets used to playing at 18-22fps...

I actually pre-ordered the PS4 version of TSW but it was delivered to my house a day late. Back then the game was more expensive than it is now (I believe it was £44.99).

When it launched - day of release. Though I should add that I haven't been playing TSW/TSW2020 non-stop since. I have drifted in and out, often for weeks* at a time (usually while waiting for bugs to be sorted out). Though recently I have been putting more time in.

And in the case of last year, months.

I started playing TSW in autumn (fall) of 2020. Absolutely loved it as it came with quite a few routes and was cheaper than the standard game.
I then bought a few DLCs after a couple of weeks of playing.

Then PlayStation put TSW2 in the sale and I jumped on that after only about 4 weeks of playing TSW.

Almost from the beginning, but I needed to buy a new computer first before I could really play it. My graphics card did not have enough power, so regularly I was playing with 15 fps. On a bad day the card was blown, probably due to constant overloading it.
