After seeing the release of the Cross City Line for Train Simulator, I would love to see this line in Train Sim World!

    Proposed era:
I'd like this route to be set anywhere between 2010 and 2021. This means the choice of either London Midland (Govia run, 2007-2017) or West Midlands Trains (Current operator. Abellio run, 2017-current)

*The timetable will be based off the pre-Covid timetable, utilising the new Bromsgrove services, regardless of the year to keep simplicity/consistency.

    Brief introduction of the line:

The Cross City Line is a busy commuter line in the West Midlands which stretches from Redditch and Bromsgrove to the South to Lichfield Trent Valley to the North, running for 32 miles end-to-end.

Birmingham New Street is right in the middle of this line and provides fantastic opportunities for future extensions in every direction!

    Rolling Stock:
    The South of the line
between Redditch/Bromsgrove and Birmingham New Street sees a variety of traction, including the one and only Class 323, Cross Country and LM/WM Class 170s and Cross Country Class 220 and 221 Voyagers.

For TSW purposes, Bromsgrove will be the terminus of all southbound XC services. So all southbound XC services will stop and ask the player to leave the service at Bromsgrove, before the AI takes over and goes into the portal, as opposed to going straight through as per real life.

Northbound XC services will spawn at the portal and head straight through Bromsgrove, as per real life.

If the above is not possible, then expect your standard Class 323 timetable, and not other rolling stock provided.

The North of the line between Birmingham New Street and Lichfield Trent Valley sees primarily Class 323s.

    Services:
Typically throughout the day, the standard pre-Covid timetable looked like this:

Starting in the middle of the route at Birmingham New Street:

    Southbound:
LM/WMR Class 323: 6tph to Longbridge, with 3pth continuing to Redditch branch (terminus) and 3tph continuing to Bromsgrove. (Since the introduction of the Bromsgrove services, I believe the Longbridge terminating services no longer exist)
LM/WMR Class 170: 1tph express to University and Bromsgrove stations.
XC Class 170: 1tph express to University and Bromsgrove stations.
    XC Class 220/221 Voyager: 2tph to Bromsgrove/portal

    Northbound:
LM/WMR Class 323: 6tph to Four Oaks (2tph terminating), with 4tph continuing to Lichfield City (2tph terminating) and 2tph continuing to Lichfield Trent Valley (terminus)

    Journey time:
    Redditch/Bromsgrove to Lichfield Trent Valley:
    1 hour 20 mins/80 mins @ 32 miles
