I just ask out of curiosity. Why is the Class 40 from the BR Heavy Fright Pack not in the Legends of the Great Western Pack as a Substitution locomotive?
Then this should also apply to the Class45. I've read several times here in the forum that the 45 was rarely seen in Paddington
It is possible that the 45 is linked to the 47, as in all of their appearances outside of NTP (that I know of) they are both found together and are interchangeable.
Actually, class 45's (and 46's) most certainly did run in the area on freight and passenger runs, especially the Paddington - Liverpool runs https://derbysulzers.com/paddington.html
There was one 45 diagram out of Paddington (to Liverpool) in a very short period in the 80s. They were very rare outside of that. I don't think anyone would consider 45s/46s to be representative of traction in and out of Paddington in any time period.
Exactly. Possible but not probable. 46s sequestered from NE/SW services through Bristol and the West Country and 45s on coal trains from Cricklewood where crews obviously had type knowledge.
I am thinking they will allow us to use the class 40 on Diesel Legends when we get the Freight services which will come if you have HFP
