Lgv : Better Than I Remember

I just played my first lgv service in over a month , and I’d forgotten how good it was . It is one of the best routes in the game IMO . Do you have lgv , and do you enjoy it ? Share your thoughts and opinions about this route !

 

When this route first came out I was addicted to driving on it. It was pretty much the only route I drove on in around late December. However when it comes to variety I actually think it's one of the worse routes in the game, and there's only so many times you can do the run from Marseille to Avignon without it getting old.

I'm holding out hope for DLC for this route, perhaps with the classic TGV or even the 373 Eurostar, as I believe they run on the route in the summer.

In summary, a really fun route but gets repetitive.

 

I've played about 4 services and 2 scenarios, I only bought it because I had nothing to play on TSW. I would play it more but I seem to get quite bored of TSW after a couple of weeks, especially when there aren't any new routes coming out that interest me.
Love the TGV though

 

It would be nice to see a loco add-on for this route

 

I haven’t got it and to be honest I’m not sure I plan to get it. Possibly due to feedback early on and I need convincing that it is good. Maybe I worry that a high speed line alone could become boring. Also maybe memories of the GWE before improvement haunt me.

 

The high speed may seem a bit boring , but the section at 320 kmph only lasts for about 10 minutes , and the rest of the journey is a lot more interactive .

 

I have completed everything on LGV Méditerranée: all journey chapters, scenarios, training, all timetable services (52/52), especially all collectibles found and all achievements achieved. But I still play it though.

 

I'll buy it when it's discounted on XBOX - I have plenty of other great stuff to play (both TSW DLC and other games) while I'm waiting, and at full price I don't personally think it offers a great value proposition due to the lack of variety.

For what its worth, I also resent being asked to pay full price for DLC when people playing on PC (and indeed Playstation) are offered discounts and we aren't. I'm bemused that XBOX currently has a huge Spring sale and there are no TSW DLC discounts. And yes, I've heard that DTG allegedly don't have any say in this....

I wish there were more options for the poll, but I got LGV as soon as it arrived and I think its a decent route, but it gets a bit boring over time. Everything just feels scripted. It is wonderful to drive at 320kmh but with the lack of random events make it quite repetitive after a while.

Not a bad route though!

Which is ‘I don’t own lgv but plan on getting it’ . It doesn’t have to specify if you would get it on sale or not

 

I've always liked this route because it's unique, fast, and modern. It's actually the only route for which I've unlocked all achievements, too.

 

I think I need to watch a run on YouTube before I even begin to think about it.
