So, I bought the JT MML and extensions from JT and I can see the route in steam. Now, my question is, how do I know which scenarios are default so only need base stock and which ones need more JT addons and AP addons? If I go into standard and try to load some of the scenarios (even ones labelled default), they won't load and tell me that things are missing. I bought MML Shef - Derby MML Derby - Lei - Nott MML Erewash Valley MML Scenario pack I also picked up the Class 222 advanced and the Voyager advanced.
I've just bought the exact same. Did you pick up the free ZZA snowplough, which is required for one of the scenarios? The default scenarios are prefixed with [Default]. The 222 scenarios will be listed as JT 222. The quick drives also work. All scenarios are listed under the Standard tab, there are no career scenarios. I found a good rule of thumb to be if I click on a scenario and there's no loco picture on the left hand side, I don't have it and it won't work.
I forgot about the snowplough but will pick it up. It seems a lot of the required locos I don't have or I don't have the extra assets needed to run them. It's a pain when you spend almost £100 on routes and a couple of locos but then can't use them because you need another £100 or more of separate assets to run it. I managed to get the Hull Trains scenario to run but I'm having trouble with the MML ones.
I've not tried the Hull scenario. Had a couple of runs from Sheffield in the 222. I'm not keen on the all or nothing control options, the simple (F4) hud or expert controls, I prefer the F3 hud, but that just means I will have to spend more time learning the expert mode.
I can't get any of the JT 222 Meridian scenarios to work, even if they are listed as default. It keeps coming up with Scenario failed to load and then consist builder with a massive list of missing items. The only class 222 scenario that worked for me was the Hull trains one going up the ECML.
As it says on the JT Website you need the European Loco and Asset Pack - it uses those locos, units and stock instead of other trains. https://store.steampowered.com/app/208300/Train_Simulator_European_Loco__Asset_Pack/ If you don't have that it will show missing items on the default scenarios Peter
When you run a scenario you have the player train, the 222, and the other trains you drive past If you don't have them it will show them as missing stock in the scenario From the Manual this is One of the Scenarios 1C35 10:29 Sheffield – St Pancras International Good morning, driver. Today is a simple run down as far as Derby. You will call at Chesterfield en route before arriving at Derby for a crew change. Required stock: Just Trains • Class 222 Advanced 2019 • Voyager Advanced 2019 • Class 153 DMU Advanced Steam • Network SouthEast Class 159 DMU Add-On Armstrong Powerhouse • Class 158/159 (Cummins) Enhancement Pack
I have the European loco and asset packs. I don't have any of the AP content but as a default scenario, that shouldn't be needed to run the default scenarios (as stated on JT site)
The 222 is not used in the Default Scenarios but you complained You obviously have the London - Bedford Route?
Yes, I have the London-Bedford route. I guess I'll never be able to use the Voyager/222 in XC livery then as they seem tied to the AP packs so there was no point in me even buying them for the MML.
The 222 is used on the MML as they run the London - Derby - Sheffield service Try one Scenario on MML with a 222 and when it starts and you get the message about missing stock push F2 and then Save the Scenario will run but not all of the AI trains will appear
Thanks. I've tried that and it lets me in. Only thing is now, it won't let me move. DRA is reset, it's in forward but it won't build any amps. I've tried with 2 scenarios now and it's the same. Am I missing something like a button to push or an electronic handbrake?
That will save it in the altered state though, so if and when he DOES get the missing assets, they'll not be used. Better to press F2 then cancel. It will still run the scenario without the missing assets, but will not change it. You would have to do it every time you run it is all.
222 at a good prince now: https://www.justtrains.net/product/class-222-advanced-2019 I have a 221 and wonder if the 222 is good enough to be worth getting, or just do a swap in TS Tools for scenarios?
You said you drove it on the ECML scenario - it is the same procedure to move it on a different route DRA is "Reset"? It should be Switched Off.- Try switching it on then off again That will stop you taking power even though the brakes are off
I tried a couple of scenarios on mine at lunchtime and the DRA was on (lit up) by default on loading. It can sometimes take a moment before you can take power after the doors closing.
I have XC liveries available for the 220 on London to Brighton, Great Western in the standard tab, and Great Western, MML under the Free Roam tab.
The 222 is on discount right now. Buy it and just use the 222 scenarios unless you are missing other requirements.
I just bought the JT MML Sheffield Derby with one extension, none ofthe others. Does anyone else find the trees so green they are overpowering?
JT routes have a habit of that. Having said that.. ALL trees in ALL routes are ridiculously green, which is why I use reshade's selective colour shader to manage it... and now I have natural looking foliage. It tends to be worse in summer. Here's my MML in summer. Much better.
JT have emailed and said that there are new updates for all MML content to fix crashes and correctly place buildings.
Was that in response to a support ticket, or has it gone out to everyone? Got nothing here, and can't see anything on the website.
I got it via email about 20 mins ago. Sheffield - Derby v1.08 MML Derby - Nottingham - Leicester extension v1.03 Derby - Nottingham - Leicester v1.03 It seems Erewash doesn't need one and I don't know if the Buxton one does as I don't own it yet.
Thanks for the heads up. I had no mail, and there's nothing on the website. They really need a update log like AP have. Downloading now.
I must admit I looked for that and failed, but just assumed I'd missed it. Never gave it a second thought.

So, unlike AP, where you just reinstall over the previous version, JT says to uninstall the old version of the JT MML first - how do you do that?
I ran the MML Sheffield Derby exe, it uninstalled the previous version, then I ran it again, and it installed the new one. I then tried to install the extension, and it said there wasn't the original MML route! Looked in TS - nothing there. So I uninstalled the new MML, and reinstalled it, then finally it shows up in TS and I could install the extension too. Phew!
