Hi everyone, Console users will get their hands on Clinchfield tomorrow night at midnight. I know I personally can’t wait to have a caboose! What is the most exciting thing about Clinchfield for you? Will you be buying day one?
I won't buy this route on the first day. that's because I'm not a huge fan of American routes and freight. Maybe if the route is on sale at some point.
Same, I prefer the European routes more than the American routes. I am not saying that the American routes are rubbish, they aren’t. They are lovely. I just prefer the European routes more, e.g. Southeastern High Speed, LGV Méditerranée, etc. So, I might get it. I haven’t decided yet.
I won’t be buying day one because I have spent too much money but I am fearful that I will be buying on day two after seeing everyone else having so much fun. If I were to buy it now I wouldn’t give all the other DLC I’ve bought recently enough attention, so I’ll probably wait until it’s in a sale to be honest. From what I’ve seen so far, it looks to be a fantastic route with lots of interesting things to do. The way the timetable is set out is the thing I’m most looking forward to when I do get it, with all the follow-on tasks in groups. I’ll see how long I can resist.
Thinking about it. So soon after Arosa. The EMD F7 does look nice. Here's the store page: https://www.microsoft.com/p/train-sim-world-2-clinchfield-railroad-elkhorn-dante/9p2j9hq0lrmk
Another reason for me not to buy this route immediately is that the DB BR 101 and Hamburg-Lübeck can already be seen on the horizon. Both of them have already seen their achievements on SteamDB
I most definitely will have this tomorrow! I’m too old to stay up till midnight tonight to buy it, so late afternoon tomorrow! The most exciting thing for me is the Clinchfield runs through where I grew up! And to be able to run the F7 is awesome!!!
It's wise to wait,we all know that ever route comes with unwanted, unwelcome, unfortunately expected technical problems. Note:The i'll wait for a sale motto is like a bad joke considering how rarely microsoft does them.I guess you don't really want to ever buy it,hey that fine i don't blame you.(But the f7 A/B plus caboose are hard to ignore).
Only 10 hours to go for US eastern time- so hyped!!! US Freight is my favorite, so i've been really looking forward to Clinchfield. Caboose is awesome of course, but i think what i'm looking forward to most is the single-track sections of the route. Hope the AI dispatcher has been practicing lol.
We fans of American rail have been waiting sooooo long for a new route, and this one has been hovering on the horizon forever, it seems. It would be an awful letdown if I were not to grab it immediately on release. I just hope that we don't have to suffer the same, agonizing wait for the next US route.
New here and hi to all! I’m really looking forward to this and love freight routes more than anything. Does anyone know what time in the UK this will be available for download on Xbox please?
Does anyone know why when you go to play Clinchfield it says changing to immersion mode and it’s marked as being a preserved collection please? Is this correct?
If you have the controls set to "classic" it does this for tutorials and scenarios on routes that are native to TSW2. The "preserved collection" logo is confusing though as it really has nothing to do with that unless they consider "classic" controls as part of preserved collection.
Thanks a lot and yes I did have controls set to classic and will check what happens in scenario mode. Appreciate the help!
At what point does this actually become available? I took the day off of work for this and so far all I've done is read about everyone else's experiences.
Yes, 9am est! Downloaded it before work this morning. It didn't show up through the in game store, however in the actual microsoft store if you type in tsw2 it did show up bottom of the page for add ons.
I’m in eastern time zone but it released in the Microsoft store at 12am last night, I don’t use the in game store so I’m not sure when it will be added there!
I'm eastern US and bought it from the Xbox store at Midnight. Do a search for "Clinchfield" in the store search bar.
Yes, another way you can do it is by going to the game on the dashboard and pressing the start button and click on the “see game in Microsoft store” option and you can view all add ons from there!
