anyone else having issue where the xbox power supply cuts off and needs to be unplugged for 10 seconds whilst playing train sim world? only seems to happen on TSW(i assume it must have a high power draw)
Your system might be showing signs of early overheating. Do you have enough ventilation for it, not having the console placed in a small corner or in a tight space? My old xbox one had the same problem but it would shut off every time I returned to the dashboard. I suggest you looking into placing an intercooler on top of the vent. Also removing the side panels with a flathead screwdriver to clean up any accumulated dust from the sides.
Make sure that your Xbox has nothing around it it has air vents which help keep the unit from overheating. Sounds like you have your unit in a cramped spot and it is not getting the proper ventilation it requires to run.
A quick search of the Xbox One forum, brings up multiple threads on this issue. Hoover your power brick vents for 3 minutes on each vent hole. Your power brick is full of dust and is going in to fail safe mode. Yes you are right that the Xbox does draw more power when playing TSW, so that's why it's overheating.
I'd be very careful using a vacuum cleaner anywhere near a PC or console. The nozzle generates a great deal of static electricity which can arc onto your components and end them. You'd be better off getting a can of compressed air for the job instead.
If you disconnect the power brick from the console and leave it plugged in with the socket turned off its its perfectly fine.
