Route: Schiphol To Amsterdam Centraal With Ns Dd-irm

I would love Dovetail to add Schiphol to Amsterdam Centraal with NS DD-IRM as a small add-on.

 

a VERY short route and also, provide us with some information, pictures and stuff

 

Add detail like locos , route info , stations - useful things which forums users will understand

Also this is hella short.
I had to zoom right in on this to find it.
Hell you can see the streets!

 

It is an express and has no stops in-between.

 

And how long is it?

 

Ok I've looked it up, takes ~17 minutes to do the service and is literally 7 MILES.

I mean you have a lot to choose from. If you want schiphol why not have the line it's on as well...

 

Schiphol Airport <> Amsterdam Central is a very short line with only stops at Amsterdam and Schiphol. It's also known as the Tourist Express/train. Each hour, there drives 4 Sprinters and 2 IC Directs and 1 Intercity. Rolling stock on this line are:

• SLT
• SNG
• BR186 - ICRmh - BR186

The DD-IRM is out of service and its father and grandfather (VIRM & VIRMm) doesn't drive this line according to this years timetable.

 

Agreed. There would be many better Dutch route options IMO.

 

So it's even shorter than Isle of Wight. :P

Although I think both Amsterdam Central station and Schiphol Airport station would be interesting parts of a route, you really need something more than just the short section of railway between those two points, as they're really close to each other.

This could be small extension for the Amsterdam-Arnhem Railway, almost completing the entire Intercity 3100 Service, only thing needed would be an Extension from Arnhem to Nijmegen
