Yesterday I ran a RE service on the HMA with a BR 146.2 + dosto train. During my run from München to Augsburg I only encountered: - 1 ICE from Augsburg to München - approx. 4 S-Bahn trains in either direction Why were there no freight trains? Why no RE/RB in the other direction? Why no more ICE services?
Perhaps you chose a bit of an unfortunate time, usually I see at least 1-2 Ice's, one freight train leaving München and one coming into Augsburg, another RE/RB service usually near mammendorf and a fair few Sbahn Trains
I definitely think you took an unfortunate run: HMA it's one of the "most lively" route in terms of traffic.
That could have been an unfortunate run, maybe at an earlier time of day. However what feels empty is Munchen Hbf. I have been there many times and it's so busy... whereas in tsw there isn't much traffic.
