Anyone Else Want Some Conrail Action?

Like I don't care if its a new route or just a locomotive for an existing route, but I am really feeling the need for some Conrail. SD80MAC anyone?

SD80MAC would be great!! I would love to see it in the game. I can remember being a kid and going to Altoona railfest when they were showing it off as the latest and greatest!

Not everyone is good with the livery editor.

 

Neither am I, but there are tutorials showing you how to if you aren't good.

 

I don’t think you can build an SD80MAC in livery creator either, or a route. That’s really what I would like Conrail locos and route.

 

Yes, you are right, but you can still take engines already in the game and make the Conrail livery for them.No?

 

I play on console, livery editor options seem very limited. I don’t really even mess with it.

 

I mean if this was just Conrail liveries I would have posted in creation centre. At the end of the day Conrail has some good potential for actual new routes and new locomotives.

I agree, I would love to see Horseshoe curve. Altoona to Johnstown maybe? I proposed that as a route as well. Even like GWR could do under multiple eras and really get potential for 4 railroads in one route. Conrail would be my main preference. Once steam is in the game a PRR DLC pack would be pretty awesome! Lots of options, but would love a K4 and T1.

 

A PRR, Conrail and Norfolk Southern route would be good.

I dotn think anyone wants to see a Penn Central route though....

 

From a personal standpoint I think late Conrail just before or after the NS merger would be most interesting. It has potential for mixed consists and such. Plus a wide array of power options. Like 1997-early 2000s era would be pretty cool. Amtrak was a bit of a hodgepodge as well, everything from phase III-PhaseV floating around. Usually mixed consists with F40 and P42. It was kind of there second rainbow era. Four Amtrak trains a day around the curve at that time, the Pennsylvanian and Three Rivers. The Three Rivers was also basically a mixed train as it usually had more express cars and road railers than passenger cars.

 

Cool. I am personally more into the 1930-1950s railroading.

Yes, I do agree, and if they put it in the right place and time there could be steam, diesel, and electric engines to run.

 

I mean if you don't like a suggestion, you can always just ignore it dude. No need to give your two cents on everything. Every locomotive and route you can think of has fans, and they all also have their detractors. Its easier to support the ideas you like, and just ignore the ones you don't.

 

No I just thought it was already done to a point and that is on me. Also, just pointing this out, you kind of sounded snoody in the comment.

 

Dude, you cant just jump in a thread that has been mostly positive up till then, give a smarmy answer, then try to flip it to be the victim.

 

I'm not trying to. I honestly do like the idea. Plus when reading threw the string I started gaining interest.
