Please add a guard mode dovetail on passenger routes If you say no please explain why i think guard mode would be a great addition to the game Having to open and close the doors buzzing the driver etc Even checking tickets and issuing tickets Like fernbus simulator Even kicking off naughty people without any tickets And maybe even add something where the guard may have to get out of the train to check something with the train eg a problem It would be so cool do so
I voted no. But only because the sim is still young. I would rather see focus on more routes and trains then an addition of guard mode. With that said I think it's a good idea once we get more content.
It sounds like a good idea but I personally voted no because there's already too many bugs within the simulator itself and the developers already stated it was hard enough trying to optimize a passenger system due to the complex A.I. Implementing a mode like this would create bigger issues in the game then there already is. Now in the near future when they tap into the full potential of the Unreal Engine. I'm all for it..
I totally agree what is said before. I like the idea, but I rather would see some routes and maybe one or two more trains. And then I would rather see something like Dispatch mode. And don't forget, this is for the Xbox one, I'm already happy that I can play this on Xbox
Yeah, only in scenario you have to do this like only once or twice>?? Anyways, I RP, I'm Roleplaying in myself. I press the buzzer etc haha
It would be interesting to explore the mechanics of the idea so with that in mind I'd vote yes. I was thinking yesterday as well while doing the GWE route how cool it would be to just have the ability to drop in on foot and mooch around on the stations watching player trains going about their business, get on and off etc. Maybe a pipe dream for multiplayer (if it even is in the pipeline) but it would make the world more alive to have such realistic movement, people taking pictures etc etc. You could even do a screenshot animation It might be an easier thing to implement to test multiplayer mechanics too..
Would be nice for a mode like that implimeted in this game, however i would rather have new routes in england and other small things first before that happens
Which is the cart and which the horse? Yes, saying that more routes are needed before work on such things as guard buzzers; on the other hand, inventing and adding a guard buzzer now would make it easily available for future routes. Chickens, eggs, horses, carts: how many are going to St. Ives?
Maybe guard mode will be a part of rush hour , as you have to perform difficult duties a guard would usually perform during rush hour
Would be an interesting piece of chrome, but I would put it way, way down the priority list behind other much-needed upgrades.
Does anyone remember the guard in MSTS who would buzz and say " Right Away Driver " after every station stop on some UK routes? Got me thinking of the features in that sim and TS which are not present in TSW2, like multiple selectable saves. I'm talking a decade or more ago. I'm sure there are others I've forgotten. Of course, graphically and functionaliy, TSW2 is far superior, but we've lost a little along the way, too. Of course, when I started playing train sims, there were 9 planets. And, of course, this is console country, so I'm just responding to the subject raised by the thread. No one here will remember any of this.
I voted no. If we were to have another role to be, personally I’d prefer signaller, with more services introduced and the upcoming Rush Hour this would be a welcome addition and possible lead on to Railway Sim World and the opportunities this could open up. If multiplayer is introduced and you have a server running a timetable for an amount of players then having signallers would make it interesting. However, happy to go along and see the sim development over the years.
