ive just been doing this senario and i was doing the last cut of hoppers and pushing them to philip yard all of a sudden i got derailed for some reason, all points were set, i wasnt speeding (doing about 13mph) game over grrrr. anyone had this problem
its now 3 times i have tried this scenario and i have found that when i go over a diamond point this is where i get derailed. i know the points are set correctly and i go over them at around 13/14 mph. so there is a problem with them
Yeah I ran into the same issue at the same place. All points were set correctly. I should really learn on these long scenarios to make a save part way through
Right, whenever I do a scenario where I'm doing lots of switching and setting manual switches, I save every few minutes. So much can go wrong if you make the tiniest error. Starting over is agonizing. Today, I accidentally tripped the PCS valve on the SD40. I managed to close it, but I had a recent save just in case.
There's a procedure in the "Heavy Haul" manual which seems to work with all the EMD locos. It's fairly lengthy but looks realistic, so that's what I do.
Oh it's gamey AF, but so is coupling up to freight cars and the PCS trippings for ish and giggles, which is the only time my PCS opens.
