I'll say this much for Rivet: they design and build their own locos. Really it's what they're best at (timetables and scenery, not so much). I don't see them recycling DTG's motor pool.

Someone forgot to change the date. It should read 20th April.

Rivet’s locomotives and trains do look great.

This would mean, that TSG's loco addons will be very high quality addons. Thumbs up!

I dont think so, There has already been an article out on the route, and the order of DLC on the roadmap doesn't reflect their release dates.

    Its a 2 Men Company that’s why.
They don’t rush the work like Dovetail and Rivet

Interesting! New route sounds good, especially with the cool little branch line. Hopefully they include a new loco and don’t reuse an existing one!
TSG stuff on the roadmap not coming within the next 12 months sounds a little surprising and sad. Was really looking forward to the BR420, and they’ve already shared pictures of the (albeit incomplete) exterior sometime ago. Just can’t fathom how that stuff is supposed to take over a year!
Anyways, I was really expecting a big preserved edition update. Seems like fixes and enhancements for multiple routes have been finished for quite some time now, and they’re hopelessly waiting for a release because they’re somehow trying to cram the improvements into fitting route/loco add-ons. I’d rather download a 10GB update now than wait a few more months for the fixes to be released as part of smaller update files.

rivet seem to be good at that and there previous routes showcase that. But as this is more than likely a £25 route would hope for them to have a new loco up their sleeve

Sorry but what's a standard 1938 tube stock? Thought that was what IOW already came with ?

Shame 313 is still in production. How stupid I was to have ever hoped it would have been finished before Christmas many months ago...

This ever-delayed preserved collection update better be worth it. Every roadmap its "delayed" "heldup" "on pause"

the Original consist that performed Underground duties. basically 3 or 4 of the IOW joined together in a LU paint scheme - £11.99

I think it's just a full length 1938 stock train. The standard is confusing as standard stock did run on the IOW prior to the 483s arriving.

To be very honest - the new route announced seems interesting, especially around St. Ives the photos are amazing. That being said I am not likely to buy it solely based on how disastrously Rivet "handled" the feedback for Arosa. Quality of product is one thing, the approach to problems from a studio, however, matters as well. I remember very well their statement about changes to braking they had to make. The product was broken, yet they still defended their lie about braking style and didn't at all admit the whole physics were busted on their side. That's not an approach I am willing to support no matter the quality of the product.

Speaking of approaches to problems - question for the stream this evening: can we finally get an official word on the Dostos issue? Don't Rivet, DTG.

Um, not exactly. A full 1938 Tube train used five different kinds of coaches in 7-car trains. The IoW RW only used the driving motor coaches, in pairs (and heavily modified).

I mean, it's not - as I posted in another thread ages ago, there are detail changes between the two on the front, plus they have to model the middle cars. It's not a simple reskin and consist change.

It looks like DTG have tried to release some kind of update today,

"Today we released an update that has only been applied to console users, due to an error.

We are working hard to have this update out on PC prior to the DB BR 101 release on Thursday. (We will update you if this timescale looks to change for any reason).

We will not be publishing the update notes until all platforms have received the update to ensure they are completely accurate.

    We appreciate everyone's patience"

However my steam has just downloaded a 264mb update

Im just reading up on them all now - the NDM, SNDM etc...how many carriages made up a full set? 5?

It is still a very odd choice of project - given how well the "legends" pack went down.

Does that mean it's possible they may add the Class 800 Azuma into the Route ?

Excited about West Cornwall. But please Rivet, make it great before release.

Similar with 1938 stock. I'm disappointed that it hasn't moved up but I'd rather they get it right than rush it out.

They need to model the NDM and T cars (don't know about the SNDM).
I think the formations for Bakerloo were
    DM-NDM-T-DM-DM-T-DM
effectively a 3-car train coupled to a 4-car train. We currently have modified versions of the DM cars only - they aren't in the conditions they were on the Underground.

Nothing remotely interesting for North American players. I guess we'll be living on Clinchfield for the foreseeable.

If I am reading the roadmap correctly, they have quietly dropped trying to fix the 146/185 sound.

At least to date, DTG have never added a layer for a newer loco into a pre-existing route. Substitutions, yes, just swapping one loco for another in the timetable-- but there are no services the 101 could substitute into, since there are no IC services at all.

It can be only a U-Bahn Line like New York Metro, to have Rush Hour Timetable.

Question for the stream. What happened to the sound updates for the 146/155/182? Why is nothing written about it?

I don't think they did. Maybe they dropped it off the roadmap to keep it thin. But I'm convinced this will come as they already talked about these fixes in streams.

I agree with this. The big feature of the St Ives line is the sea views. The sea is very blue and the sand golden along this stretch so this needs to be taken into account.

I agree with JD. The St Ives branch is probably my favourite line. Does anyone have the Video 125 video/DVD with the Anton Rodgers commentary? (Generations of children reached for their buckets and spades when they see the view).

That's LIRR and the sound fixes for the M3/M7 (which had been listed in the Roadmap until then). But for MSB they are still itemizing the upgrades/fixes, not lumping them into one "MSB upgrade" item- and there is no mention of loco sounds. Ejusdem generis, as we say in the trade.

Oof, nothing new on this roadmap except a new British route by rivet, hopefully they don’t screw this up *cough* IOW *cough*

Upcoming fixes to Rapid Transit eh, might make me return to the route after abandoning it:)

RRO has services that do the exact same as the IC would do, so nothing new. HBK has 4 runs a day. Everything else needs Cab car. So HRR is still the best pick even though it is a short route.
