Hi guys. Was just reading the latest roadmap from within the game. Sadly fixing the SPG coal filling bug still seems to missing from it, as do many others from what I can tell - however that's not the reason for this post. Near the bottom under improvements, it says Bakerloo Line Preservation Crew focus and I was wondering, does anyone know what that means please? No clue what all the references to Preservation mean and as for a crew focus, no idea what that could mean either! Thank you for any insight/explanation anyone can kindly offer.
So the preservation crew is a team that goes through the existing routes and try to fix as many bugs, and add features or functions to locos and the route, that have been introduced later. For example, pis systems like already on bakerloo or München are being added to the routes, the working level crossings from SouthEastern, LZB for german locos which did not had it before. Hope that gives you an idea of what they do!
If you watch the roadmap streams, Adam who leads the preservation crew is the one with the vaguely ginger hair. It's a small team of about 4 or 5 which is why they're not doing radical changes like gutting the scenery and starting again, and also why they're only focussing on one or two similar routes at any one time (there are other reasons for this, such as 'themed' updates).
Yes, and Twitch. The entire livestream archive for the last couple years is on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvdG4CxeXdKlw-p99eyn4WQ
Thanks a lot for that. Appreciate it. PS Having just watched that interesting video, just wondering who is that Sam on the left with the grey hair and beard? I've looked at the staff website but don't see him listed. He obviously has *something* to do with DTG though.
He was the community manager, now he has changed position within DTG or something like that. His nick on the forum is DTG Protagonist.
He's listed as Dovetail Special Projects, basically I think he does things like player research etc, but part of his job is to do streams. He temporarily filled the role of community manager when Dmitri left in order to see the introduction of TSW2, earlier this year they hired JD who has now taken that role.
Thank you for the info. Appreciate it. You, too, fabricant. Shame you can't 'tag' 2 users in one reply but I hope he sees this, too.
Well, they got Natalie and Jamie first as the new Community Managers and JD is the first in a new role overseeing the community team as Director of Community or something like that.
