ERROR! Preston to Carlisle is WCML Over Shap. WCML North is Carlisle to Glasgow. Further, there is a Carstairs Extension at DPSimulation that takes the WCML to Edinburgh from the Carstairs Junction. For documentary purposes, here is a map showing the blue WCML Over Shap route alongside another interesting item at Preston, on a yellow route: the Northern Lines (and a grey extension). This is a freeware route. You will require a number of other routes on that page, including North Wales Coastal (which is provided through a 2018 Train Simulator key), to use that, but I feel like showing that. There is also a Windermere extension at the top of the map, available on the Steam Workshop, having been created by Nick Hudson, a member of the community who passed away prior to Christmas last year. He has also authored other routes not on the Workshop. Here are the two most interesting elements of this, and you can look up all of the routes near Edinburgh and Glasgow yourself if they interest you. WCML Over Shap: https://store.steampowered.com/app/...r_West_Coast_Main_Line_Over_Shap_Route_AddOn/ Carstairs Extension: https://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/edinburghglasgow.html (this requires Edinburgh to Glasgow) Stainmore, Shap, and Eden Valley (originating around Grange-over-Sands) is also found on that map in some of the same places as the Over Shap route, terminating at Penrith after a trip east. This is located over at Steam Sounds Supreme and not on Steam itself. Steam engines, go! https://www.steamsoundssupreme.com/stainmore-shap-eden-valley.html Edited to correct an error where I stated Grange-over-Sands starts the Windermere extension. This Canadian got the lines mixed up. Attributed it properly to the Stainmore route and added Penrith as the terminus along the Shap route according to the map.
